Gotta save your money for the Harkovast game! In fact...everyone forget what you saw here! Model space ships are for losers! Everyone save your cash for Clash of Nations!

Actually, in a weird coincidence, GW just announced they are brining back specialist games, including BFG.
Will they be as good as they used to be? Time will tell. But still getting fuck loads of Dropfleet commander! Those models are bad ass!

Heh, GW have enough money to diversify more, since they keep getting money from both Warcraft and Starcraft. Though with World of Warcraft down to 5.5 million subscribers, they might need to kick things up.

Wait...why would GW get money from Star Craft or WOW? Aren't you thinking of Blizzard?

Both are originally games meant to be GW. And you can see it. Orcs are basically identical, for instance.
And Starcraft started development as a 40K game.
So basically, Blizzard has been paying royalties for both of them. And the best part? It doesn't show in GW's profit reports. I know this by talking to this GW manager who has been with the company for something like 25 years. I find this absolutely hilarious.

Obvious blizzard take loads of inspiration from GW, but GW don't pay them for it that I am aware of.
I've never heard of this before and can't find any information about it.
Things like "orcs being green and having big chins" isn't really something you can copyright. The same for "armoured space marines".
Blizzard have changed it enough to not pay anything, and even if originally they hadn't they could just change it slightly more and stop paying money.
I think the manager who told you that was bullshitting.

Maybe. Though apparently there was a lawsuit that was settled out of court. According to Internet "people".
No articles that I can find though.

This is just a rumour as far as I can tell. Remember, GW is a public company so has to publicly declare profits and revenue to avoid stock fixing etc. If they had a secret massive income that wasn't tracked? That would be a complete clusterfuck that would basically allow for insider trading because the stocks would be worth far more than they appear.

It finished on a ridiculous 629,000. The highest stretch goal was 600, which was added later in teh campaign as it was going so well. It went about as well as could be hoped for really.

Wow, talk about demand. Even after GW said they were doing more Battlefleet Gothic, right?
