The age rating for this game is going to be 12+.
The game is designed to be pretty easy to pick up, but its on the level of things like Magic the Gathering or Settlers of Catan, so probably a bit hard for little kids.
Also the game does have some mature themes. A lot of cards have blood on them and violence that people might not want very young kids to see.
If you've seen the comic, you know how gory it gets.
Other things that might bother people that we've thought about...
The term Half Caste, while not commonly used these days, sounds kinda racist in a real world context. Obviously hear its refering to magical animals that have the powers of other magic animals, but someone could see it and get the wrong idea.
The fact the cultures are based on real world historical cultures might bother some people. In America depictions of things based on native Americans are pretty sensative, so someone might be uncomofortable for some. Since a very wide variety of cultures feature and all of them are drawing inspiration from real world cultures rather than directly representing them, I don't think its offensive but you never know.
Someone once told me they "got why the ano-chee are foxes" and I had no idea what they meant.
Turns out they thought it was a play on "Red indian" being red foxes. That would never have occured to me! There are bound to be some other weird implications if you pour over it enough.
I tend to think that if I drew no inspiration from an obvious and interesting culture that would seem more offensive because I was ignoring an entire group.
The game features slavery. Some characters are slaves and you can trade slaves as a challenge. Again this is mainly a thing in America, but reference to slavery can be a pretty raw issue.
In the context of Harkovast, slavery is a reality. The game doesn't try to defend it or make it seem okay, but some could find it upsetting.
There is a key word for "insane" that might be seen as making light of mental illness. I don't think the game can be seen as a comment on any real world mental illness, but possibly someone might be bothered by it.
Other than people who don't like furries, I think thats everything people might be offended by.
