Hahahah yeah a few little surprises for you there. You can kinda see some trends with the precursor key word, that those are creatures of a very different order, both physically and because they are not tied to the Harkovast magical elements. And yes you now know what a Knarl looks like. Glad it didn't disappoint.
I really want to hear how you get on if you have a chance to play the game, so let me know if you do.

Oh yeah you totally know what a Lel looks like now, huh? Well if you buy the card game, these are the kind of advantages you get! I wonder who has Life and Light is a good question...hmm can't see that on the list....how strange....

Oh shit, I just realised, if you know what a Lel looks like, you know what the Skyman's deal is. You are in the Harkovast express lane!

The Light and Life guy is going to bother me.
Morbelfitz is very interesting from a plot perspective given his allegiance and where he actually is in the comic at the moment.
Which one were you thinking I'd go crazy for? Curious if you got it right.

Okay, here is a bonus tip... Try covering up half the Light and Life guys face and just look at one side at the time. See if that helps identify what you are looking at.
Also his subheading should give you a clue as to what his deal is.
I think he was the character I expected to weird you out the most to be honest. His is an interesting case.
Though I guess the Knarl and Lel are pretty curious as well, but they were things you were expecting. That guy has had no build up to his presence at all.

Yeah he's the one who got me the most.
I get a Darsai/Galdrasai feeling from him. That might be the armour on one half though. The other half looks like a Zombie cat or something. Like did... oh. Oh. Okay. Life and Light are the opposite of Death and Dark. We have a *censored by Hark for being too shocking for forum readers to handle* on our hands here?
Also, I thought Xan wouldn't have elements? Since he shouldn't manifest magic? Or is that for balance purposes?

The Warrior King is still of the race they are born into and so have those elements, even though they dont manifest the abilities. If you don't have a races elements, you aren't truly part of that race under weird Harkovast biology. So Xan is an actual Al-saigal, all be it a strange and exceptional one.

Oh in the comic Shogun's origins are speculated on, but if you read the cards it confirms what the deal is. (His extra element is because of his mechanical limb.)
