Did I ever settle on the name for the sloth based life and death race with blood magic that live in the jungle and fight the Komus?
If not people can jump in with some suggested names for these meso-american mother fuckers.
I was thinking something with Tek in it.

The sea nomad guys in the White Kingdom are going to need a name. I was thinking of Zong. Needs to be something quite short I feel. Suggestions are welcome.
Also if any remembers plans for secret geomancing underground pangolins, they need a name too. Have fun!

What were the nomads again?
I don't remember this, but I'm intrigued.

Unless I change my mind and make them something else, of course.

While we're on the subject of names, are you really going to go with Lukovic? I thought you stated so in the Card Game thread. I just though recently, it's not only a real-world surname, but it's also a kind of patronymic, as in "son of Lukov"... if you think about it, "Lukov" also seems to be some kind of a name derived from a place, though maybe only in Polish..." Bottom line, I still think it's not a very good name. Just saying, because today I figured out why I disliked this name so much. But take it with a grain of salt, coming from the guy who complained about the implications of Kumaru and Gyo in Japanese.

I can change it to something else if you would prefer. I made it by changing it from Lukov (because we now have anzlov) and so I added vic cause thats sounds kinda easter european/russian. Its the same kinda process for a lot of the names, I'm just putting together sounds. If you can think of a better alternative then I am all ears.
So things to consider- Death and life Sloth meso american name. Sea nomads from the white kingdom name. geomancing underground pangolins name. Possible new name for Lukovic.

Hmmm not getting a lot of feed back lately. Are not mainly people online? I'm entirely capable of making up names myself (obviously) but I thought you might like joining in with the creative process.

Canuovea is good at this kind of thing, but he's busier than a grobla with two dicks right now.
I'm shit at making up names (e.g. all of my characters have actual names).

I guess it just seems a bit quiet in general around here.

Yeah, it's pretty quiet without Canuovea and StyxD.

Tell ya what, why don't I provide a little insight into how I go about making up names for things? Often I just throw together syllables till I get something I like, checking that I'm not using sounds or starting letters I have used a lot before. But another handy method when I want a name with a particular sounds to it is to go and look at lists of names for a particular culture. So I look up a list of (for example) Chinese names and find some interesting sounds I like. I then shift a few letters around to make it different and its good to go.
Obviously this can go a bit wrong when some native speaker comes along (StyxD in this instance) and points out what it might actually mean. I had no idea Lukovic was a name, or that it meant "son of Lukov", to me its just a collections of interesting, Eastern European sounding sounds.
Tonight I will sit down and make some names up...

That's probably best, for some reason I can't just throw syllables together, my mind doesn't work that way.
