As the group was ascending the golden keep, we heard our level 20 wizard NPC friend (we were level 5-6) was getting beaten by a level 18 wizard. Right when we got there to see him defeated, our resident paladin/wizard's familiar froze time and revealed himself as a powerful (but I guess neutral because we've seen neutral imps and it'd been the paladins for a while). He gave us a choice, he can get us out or we choose to stay.
Out of game our DM was giving us the option of not doing this new set of the campaign after the summer, or choosing different characters for the place. Everyone but me chose different characters, mainly because they didn't think their characters wouldn't fit there story wise or they didn't like the play style.
Since Kyro stayed and was in the throne room, he getting captured makes sense.
Our Druid decided to make a monk. Tiefling. Our paladin/wizard decided to make a psion (homebrewed. So I'm a bit iffy if it'll be broken or not) human Wizard (Tym) makes a cleric. He preferred support and wizard wasn't giving it. Half-Orc water genasi Rogue/fighter is either making a storm Druid (dwarf) or a wizard or sorcerer (Fire genasi but we call him kitsune)

I see thanks. How much time will go by between Kyro meeting the new PCs and the part before he was captured?

I see thanks. How much time will go by between Kyro meeting the new PCs and the part before he was captured? About a month and a half or two months. Corvus is not a PC also. How were the characters by the way?

I need to take a few more photos this weekend if I get a chance, it's been ages since I've taken photos worth posting.

I never heard of Zdzislaw Beksinski before, but now I have; That's pretty, it took me a while to notice the bones along the top of the arch. So nightmare fuel, basically. High quality surrealist nightmare fuel.

I know, this stuff is fantastic, but so much of his work consists of visions of hell;

Well, he definitely knows how to make things absolutely terrifying. Just look at that, its human enough to maybe be a human, but... not really.
