That is a pretty big advantage.

Gotetra have the advantage of glorious manes. But that seems to be about it. If they weren't friends with the Tolpish they'd probably have much more trouble with the Al-Saigal.

They've got flamethrowers. How could they possibly lose to the Arab tigers?
Oh wait. The Byzantine Empire also had flamethrowers... and they got beaten by... hmm.

That being said, tigers are probably more flammable than Arabs, since tigers are covered in fur.

And technically it wasn't just Arabs who beat the Byzantines. The Turks were involved quite a bit if I remember rightly. As in, it was the Ottomans who finally finished them off.
And fur or not, it doesn't matter when it comes to Greek fire. In fact, you might have an extra layer of protection, if only a very small one. You can cut off bits of fur easier than skin.

I choose to disagree with the facts.

The thought of Camels and Tigers killing your beloved Horses and wiping out their Empire and culture is too much for you?
Hey, the Camels do wear fezzes at least. That means they're based on the Ottomans, right?

Camels have inferior hooves.

Not for sand.

I don't think the Gotetra intend to fight them on the beaches. Besides, I suspect that the camels don't pose a threat to the Gotetra anyway. And we've veered completely off topic. Beware of Karak lurking in the bushes, waiting to strike.

So... no Gotetra D-Day?
Also didn't the Byzantine only have ship-mounted flamethrowers?

No, apparently they used a smaller setup for use on land.

The gotetra empire is on hard times, but it still has a lot going for it. Flame Throwers, crazy lightning and techno weaponry, bad ass varangians, heavy armed cataphracts etc. Also they get support from the Anzlov with all their suss archers and winged hussars. As a culture they are very devout and quite militant, which lends itself well to a war footing.
They have a lot of potential, its just being squandered at the moment.
