He seems an odd choice, when there are other more "A-list" heroes out there. But I imagine between paid DLC and free stuff Skaven will end up with a lot of characters before they are done, so I'll see what they come up with.

Mind you, they've made LL of minor nobody characters before, so they've shown a desire to have top names and also obscure ones, even ones that never got models, so I guess its cool to mix it up.

Kholek never had a model. So if this it true it is at least interesting.

That guy on the cart and the bretonian lord guy with the trident didn't even get RULES as far as I can find.

Ghorst had rules in the Sigmar's Blood supplement... but he was a hero and pretty much actually worse than a regular necromancer.
Alberic was a name in the army book.

I think Alberic appeared in the roleplaying game, or at least was talked about.
Okay, so I've read things suggesting Queen Khalida will be able to ride on one of those big necro snake things. I really hope this is true and she can surf around a big undead snake monster, that would be awesome.

I've got news and it's confirmed by a live stream thing apparently. Arkan the black will be able to get a special building that lets him recruit some vampire units! That means he will be closer to the undead legion army list from End Times. I wonder if Arkan will know the lore of vampires?

Im starting to wonder about what game 3 will be, since the number of remaining factions is getting really small and a lot of the ones left aren't exactly headliners. I would love to see Ogres, Chaos Dwarves and Kislev, but I dunnno how many poeple would rush out to play a game based around them.

Chaos Daemons seems certain. Ogre Kingdoms. Chaos Dwarfs. Hopefully Kislev. Chaos is popular for whatever reason. Might get god themed factions too. It really isn't the main attraction for me though. I'll get it for the improvements and so forth but I'm keeping my vortex map installed.
Honestly I'm just so happy with the Elves in this game that I don't think it is going to be topped any time soon. I mean Chaos Dwarfs seem fun but...

I can see all those factions being a lot of fun (chaos dwarves especially will be really interesting) but it feels like all the big draws have been used. It's like we've had captain america, ironman and the hulk, now the next avengers film is falcon, ant man and Captain Marvel. I mean those characters aren't bad...but they aren't exactly the A listers like the first set.
Apparantly some Russian hack thing suggests the last game with have chaos god specific factions. I mean Chaos Dwarves were forge world in the latest version and Kislev don't have any official army list in 8th edition.
Honestly, I'll still get it cause I will want the final chapter and the complete ultimate campaign, but I don't know how well they can sell a game based on what are largely C lister factions.
A game of all chaos and demons fighting each other doesn't sound that interesting because its bad guys bashing bad guys and variation on being evil. Whats nice in the first two games is that there is a choice between evil and good an the two sides can fight and have something at stake. Chaos vs chaos is not exaclty a big ideological conflict. "We want to destory the world!" "No! We will be the ones to destroy it!" But maybe theyve got something clever in mind, we will see...

Agreed.
Ogres are more neutral than evil at least. But that doesn't make them good. I imagine that they might make Kislev pre-order DLC like they did with Norsca. It is a strange and unclear situation.

Based on how they acted with Norsca and mortal empires, I am not sure planning ahead is their strongest suit. I think they had only very vague, loose plans for later chapters when they started out, and are going to be basically winging it. I think what we get will be interesting at least.

Okay I didn't think Craventail would be that interesting, but the description here sounds hilarious. He improves your happiness by breaking treaties and helps units run away better. What a cheeky scamp!
The lord starting locations are really interesting, with the priest guy exiled all the way to Naggaroth.
I like that tomb kings are an untainted faction, that's a good way to do it.
I think I'll play Khalida and get a big snake to surf on.
