Okay, looking over the race/magic chart I have one question:
How much is metal and technology related, or seperate from each other.
Example, the Shogun uses a fairly intricate weapon, his fold out Katana (forgot the name) thats said to be based on Tsung-Dao technology. I assume you dont HAVE to have technology-magic to invent stuff, I guess it just makes it easier, but still, a fairly intricate and mechanical mechanism like that seems more like to be something coming from a race of technology-magic users? Again, I guess my question here is "What defines metal magic and what defines tech magic, and are there overlaps"?
Also, this is more a a musing, but I wonder: Can Darsai and other races with metal magic "strenghten" their armor. To reference a concept from another game here, in Destiny, the Guardians (aka PCs) wear rather powerful armor, but the lore describes what really makes their armor powerful enough to withstand the abuse it takes (guns that fire rocket-propelled AP grenades, guns that fire plasma directly syphoned from some sun, magic attacks and blades that literally absorb life itself etc.) is the Guardian wearing it syphoning their "light" (aka magic they got from their god-like Traveller) into the armor, explaining why being hit lowers your "shields" and why health regenerates, and more powerful armor often are relics that basically contain a sort of "light-residue" from their former wearers.
So, can Darsai, Tsung-Dao etc. do the same and "bleed" their magic into their armor to make it more powerful, maybe even repair it in the field that way?

I'm not sure, my guess would be that races without metal magic can make metal weapons (as there's a lot of races who use metal without having that magic), but having metal magic allows you to make better and/or stronger weapons, armour, tools, etc.
Technology magic allows you to make more complicated machines far more easily I suppose, like how the Lel created Shogun's sword (among other, even more impressive creations), Golta manufacture the lockwork and rifled barrels for their muskets, and the Gotetra (horse people in the recent RP) manufacture everything from music boxes to dynamos to primitive industrial equipment.
From what we've seen I think it sort of gives people a leg up when making, repairing, and using machines and mechanical devices; someone from another race might be able to do a lot of the same stuff through careful study and a lot of creativity and skill, as the Eslum aren't exactly technologically backward despite having ice and water magic, but for someone with technology magic a lot of that stuff would come naturally to them.
I know there's more to technology magic than that, probably a lot of more specific abilities that are displayed by individual races.
Being able to temporarily strengthen armour and repair it in combat would be pretty cool.

As far as I remember, metal magic either translates to making the user's body harder, parts of it sharper, or can manipulate metal as an element. It probably can be used for weapon or armour making, but I don't remember any instance of it.
Technology is not so much about inventing things as much as creating devices that run on that kind of magic, or run better with it. For example, Goterta have two "super-weapons": Greek fire and lightning cannons. The first one is a heavily guarded secret, since anyone could replicate this technology if the knew how. With the latter they basically don't care, since it won't work for anyone without Gotetra technology magic. Same with Golta and their superior gunpowder.
At least that's the gist of how I understand it.

An earlier version of the comic contain a scene where it was explained that the Lel made Shogun's sword. Tsung-Dao can make fine weapons, but they can't make anything that complex. The scene got edited out into a side comic (which I need to repost!) but the side comic version had less text so I don't think it said who made the sword.
The explanations of metal vs technology here from Renard and StyxD are pretty good. Metal magic is creating metal with magic, making metal harder and sharper, shaping metal.
Technology is creating devices, inventing things, powers strange machines and creations. So Renard and StyxD are both right depending on which races and characters you are looking at.
Those aren't exhaustive lists of powers, but they give you an idea!
Darsai don't specifically use magic to strength their armour, but its something a metal using race could do.

In some cases, technology magic makes things work. Almost like a power source. Kinda: "Science!" "But why does it work?" "SCIENCE!"

From a world building point of view, I want to have cool mad science, inventions and muskets, but I need a limit so everyone doesn't get them. I mean even if only Golta could make the guns, others would be trying to buy them or steal them or capture/hire golta to make it for them. So I want to have things to limit it, so you need the right magic power to make a lot of this stuff work properly.
