Deer are evil.
The KITW is possibly a deer/ buck whatever they're called.
And they are aggressive.
Also, they're not Balrogs.

I want you to look at that photo I posted, and try telling me that creature is evil.
How about the zebra? You hurt it's feelings.

Evil, Renard, definitely evil. Look at it, plotting our deaths!
You expect me to feel sorry for something that could be on the wrong end of a "black, white, and red all over" joke? Though I'll admit to some curiousity about the Rotetra, I'm not entirely convinced that they're not terrible people.
I'll also further remind you that the deer people are responsible for systematically attempting to track down and murder each and every one of the Hyena people because their leader told them genocide is good.

The deer can't all be evil! Yes.

They did get genocidal pretty darn quickly, though. I mean, that is worse than the Ivos! Okay, not really. It is more on par with Cansaibe, who were going to massacre the Shulway. But better that then enslavement and forced citizenship in an Empire they hate! At least, the Cansaibe would apparently agree.
But you're right, I'm sure the deer weren't all evil.
While close, that isn't what I pictured when I had that joke in mind. Nonetheless, I suppose the Rotetra are probably alright, even if they were getting their butts kicked by the Galdrasai, they seem sort of Spanish/Roman.

Yes it does. According to an article I read, it took several months for anyone to notice.

Apparently this is how wolves say hello;

Wolves do a lot of face nipping for some reason. You'll see this a lot when people have wolf breeds as pets or in wolf sanctuaries when the caretakers go in to socialize with them. They nip and bite at their faces. Which would be scary as hell to get used to, but the wolves take it as passiveness.

Do Junlocks do that too?
Because 1) Junlocks would be cool. And 2) Frighten the Ivos and Zadakine! Frighten them!

Here's a weasel riding a woodpecker (and trying to kill it).

Least weasels are cute little murder machines.
I'm amazed anyone was able to snap such a clear picture of that.
