Fel will quietly say "They d-didn't lose that many warriors either so they m-may be able to get moving again quite quickly after consolidating their position."

"And somehow our ragtag bunch is meant to bash her head in. I don't think we can simply waltz up to her encampment and ask them nicely, so we need another plan. Can any of you dance well enough to serve as a distraction? We could send in the gnoll to cause a ruckus while someone sneaks around and introduces her spleen to a dagger."
She shakes he head a bit as it points towards the ground again. I left my beer behind for these people?

"Overwhelming force." Bernat says flatly. "I think the town managed to mess up some of her catapults, not that it did much good with that Wizard there."

"Overwhelming force? As much as I like your enthusiasm unless you know somewhere we can get a great big bunch of decent free soldiers we will need a new plan." From the edge of her hood she eyes the group, trying to figure out how useful each one will be to her and which ones are likely to cause problems.

"I meant that she had overwhelming force. And if you want her dead, waiting for her army to leave so she is vulnerable mightn't work, since she seems pleased enough to lead it herself."
Bernat glances at Helen, sighs, and turns back to the two newcomers. "So you're keen on having her dead." Looking at the scaly creature. "And you're concerned." Bernat says to the Gnoll, "with good reason. If anything is to be done, the first order of business is to notify the local areas and powers, get them on side."

"I personally don't care either way, but it will temporarily shut Hoer up for a short time and anything that does that is well worth the effort." Her voice makes it clear she really doesn't care about the entire situation, and merely is doing as she is told.

The gnoll glances nervously at the hooded figure, showing his teeth in a nervous display.
"I told you, your god doesn't command me. Surely not to be a distraction during a suicidal mission just because he's come up with a funny assassination plan!" They slump down on the ground. "Ok. All right. You're right. We need to alert the locals. Then, my people. By the Mother, it's finally happening. Are the leonins moving on us?"

"I don't recall seeing any Leonins with her army, most seemed to be human except for the Vulpine Wizard." Bernat says. "From what I've heard, Leonins tend to be rather aloof too, so I wouldn't expect them to get involved."
((That totally makes sense that the Gnolls wouldn't trust the Leonins, who are, after all, entirely "Lawful". You can add anything after "Lawful" to their alignment, but they're basically stuck at Lawful.))

"Hoer doesn't do anything beyond annoy me into doing something for him. The day he does anything more than say, 'go here' will be the day I go back to the swamp. I don't hear any other plans though."

Fel nods when the "no Leonins" comment is mentioned. "Abelone has no c-contact with them at all." Hellen, to Sah: "So why do you worship him if you don't like him?"

"I wouldn't call it worship. I am serving him as part of a deal he made with me long ago."

"And Hoar wants Abelone dead or at least taken out of a position of power? Well, we're all on board with that plan I think." Bernat says.

The gnoll seems just more confused by the "no leonins" statement. They light a fire and put the fishes to fry, with hands that are shaking a little.
"So what does your god want from us? Precisely want? Hoer is a kind of god that... pays attention to words. I'm not going to... tolerate you here, until I know that he won't save us to our deaths."

"I'll consult him, give me a minute or two." She steps away to go talk to Hoer. After a few moments of quiet mumbling to herself, she returns saying, "He says he will do his best to make sure we don't die, and is going to have me do the same with healing magic and medicine. I've had to heal myself so many times thanks to him healing you shouldn't be a problem."

"Oh, well, someone who can patch us up will be nice, even if you seem so... well... surly." Bernat looks at Helen and kind of shrugs. "I suppose we should come clean then. We managed to escape from the city after being put to work. So being former residents, we know what we mean when we say Abalone means business. She even fully announced her intentions during the parley when she first surrounded the city. We're not bringing mere rumors, she is definitely far from done with her ambitions."
