The Emperor's Children are the most insane, hedonistic and sadistic of all the chaos Legions.
These guys will literaly render captives down to make narcotics to take during battles to make themselves even more ferocious.
They consider themselves to be striving for perfection, though their vision for what the perfect experience is like nightmarish insanity to any right thinking person.
Their ships are decadent pleasure barges, dedicated to the chaos god Slanesh, the chaos god of pleasure.
Like derranged addicts, they are compelled to seek ever more extreme experiences, constantly seeking more battle and more captives...though it can never be enough.
The fleet's five cruisers are converted with parts from an old warhammer game abotu boats called Man'O War. The game was shit, the models were too small, but they are great for conversions! They go for a lot on ebay so the ones that weren't chopped up got sold to buy more BFG!
The fleet has 5 cruisers, each named after a deadly sin.
The fleet has a large number of small escorts, all titled Envy (you'd be jealous if you didn't get a cruiser too!)
The Original Sin is the Chapters Battleship, a vast temple to self indulgent cruelty.
The colour scheme contrasts the bright pink and jet black, which I really like. Also the strange camofalge like pattern that ignores the shapes of the ship is visually interesting to me. Metal bits are gold coloured (did you think the Emperor's Children would settle for less?)
The Lust is the fleet's daemon ship and its a crazy one!
The hull is twisted so the front, middle and back don't line up. Growing from the skull are crazy screaming green skeletons, riding
A comparisson to a normal cruiser...though normal is relative in this freaky fleet!
A couple of light cruisers using old Space Fleet models. I used the flat surface to add some water slide transfer symbols.
Thats the rune for the chaos God Slanesh. It is meant to combine elements of male and female symbols.
These days it would probably be seen as transphobic, having an evil god thats both genders etc.
To be fair, thats FAR from the most obviously regressive thing in the GW background, as I've banged on about elsewhere in my Grimdepr reviews.
They are named after a couple of biblical temptresses. Have you ever noticed how many evil temptress women there are in the bible?
Who ever wrote that book is as bad as Gamesworkshop!
A fun thing I decided for this fleet is that since they might tempt people to join them with their offers of unrestrained perverse pleasure. So I made these corrupted Imperial cruisers, each one from a different one of my fleets.
They have a chain wrapped around them and each area it covers is changed to the colours of the Emperors chlidren (pink and black with gold metal areas.)
Their names are Adam, Eve and Lilith.
Comparisson to a loyal, uncorrupted cruiser.
