Harkopoints actually have a function now! They act as a virtual currency for the forum! You can buy badges with them, store them in a bank and let them gain interest, and even invest them in the stock market. I feel that the first two are relatively straightforward, so this topic will mostly just concern the stock market. Here is a basic video about how the real stock market works: The Harkovast stock market function the same way because it is tied to the real stock market. Although the names have been changed to various countries within Harkovast, they are each tied to a real company and the stock value reflects the real values of that stock in the real world. But it is more fun and appropriate for the forum if instead of company names, they are part of Harkovast lore*. You can use your Harkopoints to buy and sell fictional shares that will increase (and decrease) in value. If you sell at the right time, you might become rich. Shares are expensive, but they may very well be worth it. *All Country names were randomly assigned and their connection to a real stock in a coincidence and does not reflect any real "stock" value of the nations in lore, etc. etc.

I know that who represents who is random and all...
But Eldex is Apple, while the Tendu are Microsoft. The West gets to be Blizzard, which does make some sense.
And at least the Ano-Chee didn't turn out as Exxon Mobil, but... the Tsung-Dao did.
The Nymus make sense as Facebook, though, as their democracy is rather... loud and moblike.
Ah! The Junlocks are Ebay because, as slaves, they get shipped everywhere! I get it!
Though the Ivos would probably be appalled by the quality of goods in Wal Mart, they are both Empires of voracious and terrifying size and nature.

The West being Blizzard makes sense? I am not a WOW fan but I don't think Blizzard are THAT evil.
If Gamesworkshop were the West, then we might be talking.

The Zadakines aren't as good with their money as they like to think.

I know what IBM is, but technically the Zadakine are, in fact, International Business Machines.
