I remember reading about the rat experiment on Cracked. The stuff about the soldiers using drugs is pretty interesting as well.

I take anything said on the Huffington Post site with a grain of salt; when they're not making shit up, they're stretching the truth.

www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-30929344Pretty much everything here is old hat by this point, but I still get a kick out of what the Russians say. They howl about Ukraine shelling rebel positions in civilian cities, but they're quiet about those same rebels torturing and murdering civilians they suspect of supporting Kiev, and mistreating prisoners. They imply that the separatists are doing the right thing, and that Ukraine should back off and decentralize power, but Russia today has all political power in Moscow, and has a habit of committing atrocities whenever a republic talks about independence. They say they're not supporting the rebels with equipment, but that stuff didn't all come from Ukraine (certainly not all of the ammunition, and some of the armour is stuff that the Ukrainian military has never used), and the area where they're fighting is surrounded by Russia. They say that the Russian troops in Ukraine are just citizens who've entered illegally. They claim they want a peaceful Ukraine, but they also say they have a duty to protect those Russian fighters and preserve their rights, even after they've entered a country illegally to fight the local government.

That's not even the most messed up thing I've seen bronies do. Do you think it would've been more acceptable if they stuck to the cartoon version?

www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/council-house-for-queen-say-greens/ar-AA8x3vJ?ocid=HPCDHP It looks like the Greens are plannng on trying to out-Commie Red Ed (mind you, she does have a point about GDP being a rubbish way of measuring things, and I can't stand the concept of a monarchy, but as someone pointed out in the comments, if the top income tax rate is too high, it just leads to those people leaving, as demonstrated by '70s Britain and present day France).

Well. Look at that. That is definitely going to contribute to a positive school environment amongst students.
Look, I get that bullying is a problem. Especially cyberbullying. But this is dangerous in a variety of ways. Seriously. But turning this into an Orwellian type situation is a bad call.

The golden rule when it comes to anything private, be it my home, car, or access to email and other things like that, is that if they can't produce a warrant they can go pound sand up their ass.

They've been pulling this shit for months now, I think part of it is a show for the Russian population, part of it is to intimidate the West (that's clear from their rhetoric, like when they suggested the Swedish sub hunt was simply the Swedes imagining things because they feared Russia, or similar remarks whenever NATO says that Russian personnel are doing something in or around Ukraine), and part of it is to probe defences and see what happens (how different nations react, how NATO as a whole reacts, and what the response times for air and sea intrusions are).

Of course, the socialists who just won the Greek election are apparently friendly with Moscow, they say they want to help reconcile differences between Moscow and the West.
I don't trust them. I'll be curious to see where they stand if the Russians get more aggressive.
