Couldn't he have done that all anyway? I mean, everyone hated the character anyway, so what better way to save the franchise than to have Yoda chop the fucker's head off?
It would be like the end of the Scooby-doo movie where Scrappy is the bad guy just to make the fans happy.

I wanna believe, if anything this theory got me to go back and rewatch Episode One with the thought that Jar Jar as a Sith and it honestly made the movie better.

Yeah, that's the one thing that the theory has against it. If it were true than why did Lucas leave that part out? It would have been better with it in and would have totally shocked everyone.

I think part of it was that everyone really hated Jar Jar.

the reveal could of either gone good or bad. people really really hated Jar Jar (I was a kid at the time and honestly didn't not like him) so there could easily of been the fear that people would totally reject the reveal and just hate the movie that much more because of it.
