I am aware of it! It's meant to be very good actually. The company also do an X wing game, which is like a fighter dog fighting thing that I have played that is very good. X-Wing is actually the biggest wargame in the world (well done games workshop. You fell asleep at the wheel, and look what happened?) Honestly...it kinda deserves to be. License aside its a genuinely clever game. I don't like all the design decisions, but there is a logic to all of it. Nothing is just slapped together and lazy. It's not just a licence slapped on a shoddy product like with the Halo game or GW's lord of the rings game. I haven't tried Armada, but I'm sure its very good. The main thing that keeps me from getting into it is that it would kind of scratch the same itch as Battlefleet Gothic. Massive space ships blasting each other and sending fighters about etc, I've got that covered pretty solidly (a literal room devoted to it!) Since BFG hasn't been produced in years, I would suggest Armada or X wing are good options for space fighting. Though why would you play imperials? I learned in last jedi you can kill three tie fighters with one shot!

One thing with Star Wars background from a wargame point of view is that the sides are a bit overly lop sided. The Empire has all these massive capital ships while the rebels big ships aren't as impressive or numerous. I am sure its balanced from a wargame point of view, but the Empire forces seem to have a lot more stuff once you get aboe the fighter level. That's not me having a go at Star Wars, ("its stylistically designed to be that way!") just that for me it doesnt translate so well into a wargame.
That issue is less evident in the X-Wing game, since there both sides are more equal in terms of forces at that scale.
