Okay so .... what about if the Chup is actually a relatively young one, whose family live in Eclipse city, but it didn't like its life there, so it ran away back to Mexico and has been running amok, stealing cattle, terrorising farmers and returning to its cave to play a guitar very badly, listen to heavy metal and write in its journal about how its parents don't understand it.
When confronted it will declare "You can't tell me what to do! I'm Mexican Dracula!" (Amanda gives Edge side eyes).
It can have a leather jacket with the sleeves torn off and spikey dyed hair and constantly trying to act like a bad ass.
Our heroes have to convince the Chup to stop causing trouble and go back to its family in America because otherwise Tracker is going to catch it (and later in the episode intends to actively kill it.)
Edge can tell the Chup that there is no one in the world that cares about Edge, but the chup has a family that will be missing him that he needs to go back to. And then Edge says "also..." takes the guitar, wails on it like a bad ass and then hands it back "...practice, kid."
And Edge can tell Amanda "He reminds me of a young...never mind." Amanda "You were going to say YOU! He reminds you of young you!" Edge "Let's go." Amanda "I knew it." Edge "I said let's go."
At the end Amanda can tell Edge he was right about the creature, but he got one thing wrong. There is at least one person that cares about him.

Ah. I'm fine with pulling back on the death as well- apologies! As for young punk Chup, that sounds just fine to me. And yeah, Edge just SHREDDING on a guitar is a great note- he's certainly lived long enough to be great at music!

It's the 90s so we are edgy, but this is still a kids cartoon. Edge having a dead wife is pushing my luck, and so is Amanda and human criminals using real guns. (Though Amanda will almost never have any success with her hand gun.)
Also I thought it was better if they help the Chup and he survives and goes home, as that gives us a bit of a happier resolution. But it can serve to illustrate that Tracker, while not evil, will ruthlessly carry out orders even if they start to seem questionable.

Here is my Chupacabra. I made him a combination of Luchador, Punk and giant rat monster.

I made a change! The Containment Bureau lady is now called Colonel Susan Hightower. And here she is... Under her shoulder cape she has her cyborg arm, which contains hidden weapons and a radio to call in chopper back. She has all kinds of sci fi weaponry, gadgets, elite training and tactics that she is going to use to try to bring down Edge. This is the person Remus calls when he wants to make sure the job gets done. She is a married mother of two.

Queen Katalatep was a genius intellect, iron willed ruler and powerful sorceress in ancient Egypt. When she is revived as a mummy in Eclipse city, her ambitions for world domination remain unchanged but her powers have grown even stronger. Her right to rule is absolute, and she seeks to restore her dynasty to glory by taking over the city and then the globe and she will obliterate anyone who stands in her way. She can use her bandages to wrap people up, or throw them around and has an arsenal of magical spells and rituals to call upon. Despite her plans to rule the world, she always acts in accordance with her ideas of honour and would never break a bargain or use treachery to steal power. However, she can be ruthless! She banished her own cousin to the nether realm for treason while she was alive! She refers to edge as "Son of Anubis" as he reminds her of the jackal headed god of the under world. She quickly adapts to the modern world, since she was so ahead of her time she is now better able to realise her remarkable ideas. Bow before your queen, mortals!

Oh hi! ...Seriously, weird arms are going to bring back shoulder-capes. Between this lady, Jhin of Lol with that shoulder...Canister...mount of his he uses at least for his Ultimate move if nothing else, Sevika from Arcana (more classic cyborg arm as we see here, also shoulder-capes it)...It's a look, a look that works out kind of well. I'm personally more eying that gun of her and imaging her as using it to beat the crap out of someone (likely Edge!) when they try to close the distance.
And her being a mother is...Oooof. Good plus to her character, because it's more then professionalism that gets her being so certain about getting rid of X or Y monster. EDIT: Mummy lady! She's what I might expect but on the flipside, she serves as a nice threat from the monstrous side of things, as opposed to yanno, my chupapunk insert, who's clearly more of a wanna-be.

Hightower states her motivation that she wants her children to grow up in a world without monsters, so she isn't very receptive to the idea that some supernatural creatures aren't so bad.

Okay so an interesting element about Queen Katalatep is that when she isn't trying to take over the world, sometimes her and edge will team up. This will include him going to her for information or her detecting a threat and wanting to help. She is always honourable and knows edge lives by a sworn oath, so he can be relied on to help defend humanity.
If something is going to destroy the world or take it over, she will want to stop that.
Amanda "So taking over the world is only okay when YOU do it?" Queen Katalatep "Yes."
Her name is pronounced "Kat" "tal" "La" "Tep"

We need more shoulder capes in the world. I like your designs here.
Also:
Double shoulder or single shoulder, more shoulder capes!

So, uh, sorry if my comparisons with Gargoyles were uncalled for. I just wanted to note something I found amusing. I have no idea what one-shoulder capes are useful for. Aside from concealing badass cyborg weapons, which is done pretty damn well here! I like the designs. The idea of the enemy enforcer being a cyborg is great, gotta be well equipped to face the supernatural. I'm not sure why you're so squeamish about Edge's dead wife. Batman had a huge animated series in the nineties, and this guy never shuts up about how his parents are dead. And Edge can tell Amanda "He reminds me of a young...never mind." Amanda "You were going to say YOU! He reminds you of young you!" Edge "Let's go." That's a funny exchange, but also considering that his wife died in the 1600s, and it's not long ago for him, purportedly, one has to wonder what exactly Edge being young even means.

Ive got to get away with as much as I can, but not cross the line. That's what being 90s is all about. I can use death but I can't have explicit killing being common place. That's the level I want.
Edge has been around a while, though he was not old enough to be present when the ancient oaths were first taken. He was taught about them when he was young by his parents (though this was a LONG time ago.)
Remus was present for it, however.
Regarding that exchange you liked, StyxD, a lot of the show is cool banter between the characters. Edge and Amanda are very evenly matched when they go back and forth trading cool lines. In their banter is goes back and forth who has the upper hand.
If you want to read the script to episode 1, shoot me a PM with email.
