It's gonna be hard to give this a fair shake, cuz it's so unfinished. What is animated looks pretty good, it's interesting and different. I did laugh when the old lady gave the thief some smackdown.
The thief kinda reminds me of the monk in The Monk and the Fish.

Recobbled version is on Mark 4 I believe. Thats the closest to the original vision you are going to find.
(Sometimes these threads move so fast my posts are outof date by the time I finish writing them!)

See how this one works for you. You will never get a finished version, but I think this is as close as you are going to find.
That's part one of a lot of parts.
Even imperfect as it is, you can't deny this is a million times better than that stupid goblin show. That was based on lazy people who didn't give a fuck...this is a case of peoples ambition reaching too far. The creativity and characters here are awesome. Even the princess is cooler! The princess here is actually useful and does loads of stuff to help out.

LOL!
You pulled your opinion of The Princess and the Goblin! Afraid of the wrath of a certain female, perhaps?

No I just realised I was horribly out of place with the rest of the discussion which had moved on. Princess and the goblin can fuck off!

No shame in backtracking.
You were right. It needed to be called "The Miner's Son and the Goblins".

Oh yeah, I stand by the opinions, its just they didn't fit into the conversation any more.
This Thief and Cobbler kinda fascinates me. The idea of the lost, unfinished master piece appeals to me. ALso the sheer creativity and unique vision is great to me.

I have a certain sympathy for the animator. I had a long running project once that I had to abandon completely because it was collapsing under it's own weight. The more you poke at something the more obvious the imperfections become. Eventually it becomes an infected mass and smells like death.

Even unfinished, I find the recobbled version really enjoyable.
The Arabian Knight version is horrific! Its down right painful what they did to it. The voice overs...the songs...so horrible.
I am trying to watch is now and its painful. It's like they set out to ruin it on purpose.

Argh! They give the thief a voice over! WHY? WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS? His motivations are obvious! We don't need him announcing what he plans to steal! Its like they think the audience are complete morons. I hate that version so much.

The thief was hilarious, the lines were funny... well... to kids. And you cannot beat Vincent Price. So... sorry. If this doesn't have Vincent Price, it isn't as good.

The original has Vincent Price.
Argh! The Arabian Knight version they make the vulture talk! It's dialogue barely even fits. Gaarhhh this is horrendous.

OH good. Vincent Price. He's still there. Huzzah!
I wasn't sure if this was to be silent or not.
