Well, they've at least fixed a few things in the lore. Now the "Free Guild' (or the people who use Empire Models) actually allow women to fight. Will this be represented by any new models? Who knows? Probably not. But at least the lore allows it now.

Haha yeah some models would be nice but I would not hold my breath for any new free guild models. They are pretty clearly just left over models from the previous edition that they don't want to have to replace.

A little tongue and cheek now, aren't they?

That looks like something from 40K as its printed in a modern style and written in a 20th century turn of phrase, like a ww2 propaganda poster. THEY EVEN FUCKED UP THE JOKE!

I think the joke is that it is a WW2 poster. I'm pretty sure that isn't really in universe.

Have you seen the Imperial guardsmans uplifting primer? Its done as an in world thing that tells you how great it is to be in the guard and how orks are short and weak and easily stabbed. Its pretty awesome.

It is better than most female fantasy armour, I guess. The boobplate is still more of a liability than regular, non-sexually dimorphic armour would be. But at least it won't funnel the force of attacks directly to her sternum like most boobplate... This is for that Spire game they're coming out, but the model will be able to be used in AoS.

Doesn't look totally like shit when painted either, though this photo could be better.

Wow thats actually really awesome. Adding more women to their ranks would help defuse the sense that these guys are just fantasy space marines. I like that she is still huge and ripped like the blokes. I think having a go at her for boob plate is a bit unfair...mainly because that's what the chicks armour in Harkovast looks like!
GW are showing a lot of positive signs at the minute. It's almost like they changed their management (they did!)

Her design is much better than the Sisters of Battle or the Sisters of Silence from 40k, that's for sure. It seems to fit more or less well with the novels describing them too... also big and bulky armour which can make it hard to distinguish between male and female stormcast. Though it isn't too hard for us I suppose for people in universe it might be difficult sometimes.
Now I want this to be put as part of the options for stormcast in their plastic sprues, like how Eldar Guardians and such came with a female torso option too.
As for the boobplate, if you have to have boobplate this is the way to do it, since the individual "boobs" aren't separate and aren't likely to funnel force right into her sternum. Of course, it is still a "hit me here!" sign that will catch weapon strikes from certain angles and make it worse.

The rounded shape will deflect blows, everyone knows that.
Honestly, I kinda like sisters of battle armour. Its totally ridiculous, but its also incredibly 40K. I mean the armour includes a corset, its totally insane.

When I first saw the model I thought she was rocking the bare midrift and just has incredibly ripped abs.

The rounded shape won't glance attacks off better than it not being there at all. It is still a chunk of armour sticking out and especially blows from the sides will catch it. It provides no extra protection, it is just better than the normal style of boobplate... Though I must admit that it may be better than what the male Stormcast have. The chiselled abs and pecs are basically nice little lines that will get a thrust or such stuck in there, more likely to penetrate that way. The female armour doesn't have to deal with this for the chest, unlike the male armour.
The Sisters of Battle are alright because it isn't really meant to be taken seriously. Its stupid and obviously not practical. It certainly has that 80s aesthetic.

Okay hang on, people historically wore muscled adonis type armour, so it cant have been that bad. The ancient romans and greeks wore it, adn they were pretty good at war by all accounts.

Not with such deep grooves. Look at the musculata and it is rounded, yes, and smooth... but not with deep lines cut into the armour like the Stormcast seem to have. Also if you consider the Romans, the musculata was used mostly by officers and not individual soldiers (to the best of my knowledge). It doesn't make it super bad, but... eh.
Of course, if you look at the latest Duardin (Dwarfs) they are basically power armour wearing Squats. Now that is only one Dwarf faction of course, they have a variety of factions for each races at this point it seems.
