Look who's talking. Last time I checked, clerics have Speak With Animals as well.

Lol. That doesn't mean he's planning on aligning himself with Small-Leaf once this is all over, does it? It's a good job for Sah that there's a 4th wall considering how Lizardfolk have an Int penalty while humans don't.

The 4th wall is a very fragile thing, prone to breakage. I do find it hilarious that the RPG has a conversation about cannibalism, something no RPG is complete without. Bernat is now facing a variation of the Disney Dilemma. I have not heard of this before.

Nah, he's just a little disturbed.
So, I call it "The Disney Dilemma" because in Disney Worlds, all the animals talk, don't they? Including the Fish. And we know, for sure, that all those animals are intelligent, able to talk, sing, and generally be sapient. Yet, for some reason, people aren't all vegetarian.
So if you're a Disney Princess, and you like your venison... you're a monster.

Sounds kind of like how things are in Wallace and Gromit: A Close Shave revealed that killing sheep is seen as pretty much the same as killing humans (Gromit, whose a dog, ended up going to prison after being framed for doing that). Mind you, animals can't talk in W+G but Shawn the Sheep's spin-off show apparently had 1 episode where a different dog was reading a technology magazine which was written for dogs, which suggests they are expected to be able to do things like that.

Same sort of problem all the cartoons with humanoid animals have. Do lion blokes eat antelope people or just feral antelope?

There was one SSDD page which lamop-shaded this by suggesting that predator anthros ended up just going after the normal animal counterparts of herbivore anthros because the normal ones aren't likely to jab them with spears. Mind you, a more recent filler comic for that suggests that bunnies can eat meat without any issues.

Well, that is true.
Though in Harkovast they just have separate food animals that are actually animals. Though Ano-Chee are rumoured to be cannibals (baby eaters, especially to the Onrapa), and the Wah-Daq might have a similar issue.

Lots of similar questions come to mind with animal people, even more so when you step outside the boundaries of safe for work issues.

I've always pondered how humanity in reality would react if suddenly animal folks landed and started to integrate into society. Would people still bicker about racial issues, and racists aim their ire at "the fluffy folk" instead? Would they be given human rights? Would interspecies relationships be tolerated? Will Susan ever tell Harry how much she really cares?

Similarly to how they'd react to aliens generally. Should they be friendly, I'm sure that people would generally be willing to give them a shot. But even in that case, there would be suspicion and almost certainly rampant miscommunication.
