I keep hearing good things about this show.
I tell you what I watched recently- Captain America- The Winter Soldier.
And it was fucking awesome! I absolutely LOVED that movie. I liked it even more than The Avengers. Lots of good practical effects and real fighting, rather than the usual CGI over load.

Daredevil is full of "real" fighting that looks great, there is actually this really amazing one at the end of episode two that got me hooked on it.
Also gotta agree with you on that Hark, Winter Soldier has been my favorite marvel to of come out so far, with the Avengers comes in at a solid second

Guardians of the Galaxy has been my favourite. I know, I know, that has been done to death, but... still. I've yet to see Winter Soldier though. So it might have a chance.

Hmm I might but Guardians second. I did really like that one. And not just because it had a little furry in it!

I liked Guardians enough to overlook the numerous WTF moments. I liked the characters so I didn't care.

It had a light, fun, wacky tone, so pouring over unrealistic or silly bits would be missing the point.
I wonder if the films will continue to be good....we are over due for another Ironman 2 mess up.

I wonder if we wouldn't consider Ironman 2 as all that bad if the first Ironman wasn't as good as it was. If they had started with an Ironman 2 type movie would we just say, "Eh, it's okay, not as bad as Daredevil or Ghost Rider, just okay."?

I'll admit, I didn't mind Iron Man 2 when I saw it. But meh.
Also, Daredevil is, indeed, fairly good.

am I the only mother fucker that actually enjoys ironman 2? also I liked the original Daredevil movie as a kid, sure I've grown up and can see what's wrong with it now but as a kid I though it was awesome.
So Can you get to watch the Netflix Daredevil? if so do you agree that the last fight in episode 2 is awesome?

I thought the last fight in episode two was pretty awesome. Shot in an interesting fashion.
Most of the fights I do get a kind of comic bookie vibe from it (but not in a bad way). And in some ways it reminds me of the fighting in the Bourne series, if a bit more flashy.
So who is more awesome? This Daredevil or Nolan's Batman?

Wordweaver that is an interesting question about Ironman 2 (this is why I like having you around, you always have an interesting angle.)
I think if it was a stand alone movie it would still get very bad reviews, but it wouldn't cause the outrage (like me making hate review.) It's lack of much story or much happening would render it very unmemorable.
I don't think the question is entirely answerable though, as a lot of Ironman 2's problems are sequal problems, that couldn't exist in a stand alone film. Also problems relating to it being used to pimp for the Avengers (which in the original version of the hate review I predicted would be shit. Fortunately the forum lets me edit when I say something that turns out later to be stupid.) If the film was stand alone it would be a very different animal.

Ironman 2 had some redeeming qualities. A lot of times the issue with a sequel is that it's pretty much the same movie, but different. Ironman 2 tries different things, explores Tony's alcoholism, puts Rhodes in the War Machine suit, and introduces an Ironman villain that readers might actually recognize. The problem is that it doesn't do any of that very well. Although I kinda liked Robert Downey Jr stumbling around drunk in the suit.
It is hard to forgive the "I created a new element out of lasers using the blueprint my father left behind in miniature buildings" thing though. Another armored villain fight at the end was a bit of a letdown. The villain in the first one was fine cuz it didn't take away from the main character, but the second villain needs to have more room to breathe. It's a shame because Mickey Rourke is really capable of putting on a great performance if you just get out of his way.
