That's probably the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time. I don't think he sees the irony of preventing ISIS from funding their operations with stolen oil by sending in troops to capture the wells so the US can sell stolen oil to pay off debts.

At this rate we might just see Clinton win just by means of Trump sinking the whole republican ship... Well, I dunno. I DO know however, that I wouldn't mind seeing the whole 'party' system collapse, as it would if the Republicans becomes too much of a disorganized mass to stand on their own...Frankly, the concept of it basically seems like a workaround to that whole 'democracy' idea, which is a bit of a shame...

Parties just kind of naturally form in almost any democracy. It could do to be a little less structured though.
I'm half tempted to think that Trump is a Democrat plant.

He used to support the Democrats I believe, and I know he gave donations to things the Republicans disagree with.
The problem isn't parties, it's the two party system that the US has, it gives voters two real choices and nothing else, and at this point both parties have rigged the system so that new parties can't spring up.

Yup, pro-abortion and everything.
And yeah, it is heading that way in Canada too. I mean, I remember there being two right wing parties, a left wing party, a center left party, and whatever the fuck the Greens and Bloc are (or were, in the case of the Bloc). But now you've a left wing party, a centre leftish party, and the Conservatives. Plus the Greens but they never really did anything. So you've got the leftwing vote being split, and if you don't want the Conservatives to win...

From what I can gather there's not even that many differences between the Republicans and Democrats, are there? Over here the system doesn't work that well for parties who don't have support clustered according to constituency boundries (hence Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionists and the Scottish National Party both having a lot of representation compared to the votes they have while the Greens and UKIP only had 1 seat each ( www.bbc.co.uk/news/election/2015/results illustrates the full results).

If we were talking about the modern Democrats and the Republicans from years ago, no, there wouldn't be, but the Republicans have been sliding farther to the right for a while.

But if he was a democrat plant, that still means the problem is with the republicans. Remember, its not just that he spouts nonsense. Their are tramps on street corners with tin foil hats that do that all day long. Its that the more he does it the more popular he becomes.
Imagine if I went to the democrat party with a load of whacky ideas that sound like a parody that right wingers imagine liberals think. "I want to make white people pay more taxes and give the money to minorities! I want to go to mexico and bus over as many people as we can and give them jobs that Americans currently do! I want to force straight people to get gay married and make Christians pay for it!" I would get laughed at/beaten up for such foolishness by all but a tiny sliver of the democratic party.
But trump can get up and insult latinos, women, P.O.Ws, suggest insane plans that make no sense on any level about robbing Iraq and building a wall that mexico will pay for... And it makes him MORE popular!
The fact that the party is proving furtile ground for such absolute madness implies that the whole thing has become utterly dysfunctional.

Yeah, but I can't imagine that even Trump is so stupid as to think that he would win.
Hell, he might not be a plant, he might just be there to troll everyone.

I dunno, I kinda thinks hes a moron.
I think he is serious from the way he responds when anyone criticises him. He seems to get super butt hurt and starts calling people names on social media. I really think he is just a loud mouth racist bully with too much money. And seemingly that is what a lot of the republican base once...possibly because a lot of them are loud mouth racist bullies.
If he is trolling, then its the most elaborate, drawn out and expensive trolling ever.

I actually hope he isn't trolling. I hope he is as dumb as he appears, I hope he really thinks he is going to win. Because that will make his failure all the sweeter.

www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34397272I'm really starting to think that Trump is just fucking with people. The guy supported the Democrats for years, he supported causes that the Republicans have been opposed to, but for the past couple of years he's been acting like a really over the top, racist, xenophobic, ignorant right-wing blow-hard. I'm not saying that Trump isn't an asshole, because he absolutely is, but he must be trolling everybody.

Trump is a pathetic fool who thinks that making it harder to be a legal immigrant will bully Mexico into building a wall that won't do any actual good. Video game companies learned the hard way that punishing your legal customers (through DRM and similarly harsh anti-piracy measures) only leads to causing more people to go the illegal route (piracy in this case). However if you provide a better service people will pay instead of pirate (The music industry learned this lesson). Making it easier to become a legal immigrant will lead to more going the legal route and less illegal immigration (which you simply cannot prevent).
Trump's tax idea is going to bankrupt the country plain and simple. Only a fool or a paid liar would ever think that giving corporations more money will do anything to cause more jobs to come about. Lowering corporate taxes merely gives his fellows CEOs more yachts while taking away from the people.
Ben Carson is a fucking idiot as well, vomiting that lie about there being two kinds of evolution on The View (I work at a TV station and have to run breaks on morning shows) and then claiming he would banzai charge a shooter because he thinks guns can only kill one person at a time. I want to bitchslap that fool and explain how there is only one kind of Evolution and how bullets penetrate things very easily. Whoopi made the comment that if you went hunting with an AK-47 there would be nothing left (despite the AK firing a MUCh weaker round than teh average hunting rifle), but she gets a pass because she isn't running for president. Even the 70+ gal Joy knew Carson was talking shit about Evolution.
I could rant about Hilary a lot as well, but I will refrain for the day.

Well, if someone were on a shooting spree, you might as well Banzai charge em. I mean, hopefully you make them panic and they shoot you to death with more bullets than necessary, so they run out of ammo faster and so kill fewer people overall! Ben Carson is clearly a saint willing to throw his life away just to maybe help possibly save a few more people. Trump is trump. I don't even know what to say anymore. People claim he is the "honest" candidate. Well. If honest means being openly full of shit. I mean... come on. Honest? www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/statements/NOPE. Then again... Oh. Oh no. By that logic... Trump wins. On a serious note, though, there don't seem to be any really good candidates. Hillary is probably a psychopath. Bernie is a socialist, which means he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell, and even if he wins, he'll never be able to get anything done because he'd have to work with the decidedly anti-socialist everyone else in the US political system. Continuing that serious note... I'm pretty sure that a lot of what the Republican Candidates say is merely playing to the crowd. I suspect that Carson was, no, that isn't true, I HOPE that Carson was doing this when it comes to the whole Evolution thing. I am almost certain Trump is doing so, especially regarding abortion, since he had been pro-choice for the longest time and is now saying things about being pro-life.

Carson claimed that the correct response to a person with a gun is to all try to rush them and then they can't kill you all. He claimed this is what he would do in that situation.
He also told a story about how when he had a gun pointed at him in a fast food restaurant his response was "I think you want to point that at the guy behind the counter", which the gunman did, allowing Carson to avoid harm.
So not quite as heroic in things he really did as in his crazy imagination, who could have guessed?
His response to how to deal with a tropical storm was "I don't know" and then an awkward laugh.
He doesnt' understand what the debt ceiling is. Like...not at all. He literally cant answer questions about it.
He thinks we a muslim should never be allowed to be president.
Who would have guessed a brilliant black surgeon could also be a total moron and a racist?
