alright so the WW2 one first
the man had been shot in the leg so he was on the ground in pain. who happened by him though wasn't a fellow American but was a German nazi and this scared him at first for obvious reasons. when the German saw him he tells me the man draped his coat over him and said something in German before leaving him. a little while later the German returned with a wheelbarrow and helped the American up into it, taking him to a medical area filled with more Germans. now here he was an American with a German soldier coat on over his uniform now getting his leg looked at by the enemy. apparently they even gave him a cigar and some booze and a few new English so he gets talking and laughing with some.
but it this story ends badly, apparently American soldiers storm the place and open fire on all the wounded soldiers and staff, only reason he wasn't killed was because he started yelling "I'm an American" and of corse having the uniform under the German coat helped too I'm sure.
imagine though how horrible that must of been? first you start off by thinking the enemy is will kill you so you gotta kill them first. the enemy finds you though, treats you well and helps you. then your guys show up, start killing a all these wounded soldiers and hey they're the the good guys.
messed up

Yeah, that's pretty fucked up. Apparently the Americans were pretty bad for that kind of thing, including shooting surrendering enemies. Not, however, quite as bad as the Russians or the more fanatical Germans forces (like the Waffen SS).

yeah. apparently he moved to Canada because he couldn't stand the fact that his people would do such a thing. he was so discussed that he couldn't live in the states anymore

Not a surprise.

the Veitnam story is rather sad too.
apparently these Americans were out when they got jumped by a single person who came out of the tall grass and just barely missed stabbing the guy that told me this story. so he gets this kid in a bear hug so he can't move, and it really is just a kid maybe 13-14 years old, but this kid isn't calm or anything, he's crying and clearly scared out of his mind, not some angry native ready to kill all Americans. so this kid has been stopped, he can't really do anything now and yet one of the other Americans walks up and shoots the kid in the head while the guy is still holding him.

Yeah, Vietnam was particularly bad.

he was being told how lucky he was and that the kid failed at killing him because he must of been destined for something amazing in the future. at the time he believed it but as he got older his thoughts on it changed

Destiny is crap anyway. Well, in a way. Fate is what happens that we cannot directly control, but there is almost certainly no cosmic order to it.

so anyway I was thinking of using these stories and just tweaking them a bit. I think they are definitely important stories that show sometimes there are no true good guys in a conflict

Yeah, not a bad theme.

Ooh, that was really nice. The music ended up fitting quite well.

oh yes it is a very beautiful animation and all the music is wonderful.
i like the idea of how Bitey moves as well. there are so many speedsters in comics that run fast so to make momentum stand out as one that hops instead is a cool idea.

Yeah.
I've seen it done by the Hulk and the original Superman before they decided "fuck it, let him fly instead". Its neat.
