Zaelix asked what Brorg-Dao look like, so here is some art to help out!

Cute little things, aren't they?
Of horse, they're nothing next to Basil.

Not as tall, not as strong, not as fabulous.
It's a wonder anyone in Port Yorgerson breaks the law if that's what they'd have to deal with though.

Whoa. That is MUCH more draconic than I had in mind. I was using things like...Horned lizards or so mentally. Still, that's cool! Gonna maaaybe be a bit interesting drawing Millicent out given he's going to have some degree of beef, but cool.

You know, it's a wonder anyone sails anywhere if there's a chance they'll meet Brorg-Dao pirates, or lives near the coast. They're kinda intimidating.

They are some of the fiercest warriors in Harkovast! They are also the only race that is kind of based on an imaginary animal rather than a real one.

Their horns and spines can be different to mix up their appearances.

A gladius to the armpit puts them down as surely as anything else.

Canuovea is forgetting whose side he is on this time around. Get ready to face my legions of angry Ivos with extra sharp gladius'!

Gotta second zaealix, didn't expect them to be so draconic. At least so much as the woman here, I guess this varies from individual to individual. But that's good. Based on one artwork Hark made a long time ago, I assumed they looked like beefy Tsung-Dao with some random spikes here and there. This looks much more interesting. And what you're saying, the only fantastic animal so far? You should do griffins at some time!

Wouldnt a griffin just look like a nymus unless they took their clothes off?
I made them more draconic (that's a word? I guess its a word) because, as you say, they kinda just looked like Tsung-Dao so I wanted to make them more unique. The levels of draconicness can vary, but they definitely have their own look now.

Okay someone made a suggestion, so I made a little improvement. I made their tails more mean and spikey so they can better use them to bash each other. It's all about making them distinct from the Tsung-Dao, I dont' want people confusing them. Brorg-Dao thing Tsung-Dao look like little children with their soft, loveable features.

Wouldnt a griffin just look like a nymus unless they took their clothes off? That sounds wrong, somehow… I rescind my point. Unless they are used on purpose to infiltrate the Nymus Republic by a foreign force! I made them more draconic (that's a word? I guess its a word) It doesn't seem to be a word… but then again, you can create and adjective by adding an "-ic" suffix, and then you can make a noun describing the quality of the adjective by adding a "-ness" suffix. That's how English works, right? I made their tails more mean and spikey so they can better use them to bash each other. Looking at their tails now, I feel like this implies that they have a line of those rough scales/spines running down the middle of their backs. Cool, all in all.

StyxD you are the authority on the rules of English as far as I'm concern.
Yes, Brorg Dao have spines going down their backs.
Poorer brorg-dao go into battle wihtout a helmet because their heads are pretty solid anyway, and not well suited to wearing a helmet. Richer ones have custom made helmets with hinges that fit around their horns and are very elaborate constructions that are much prized.

If you have an idea for what a griffin, or anything else, would look like in Harkovast, doodle a picture to spelt out what you are imagining. No promises I will use it, but you never know.
