I've been ill the last few days so it's delaying me writing the next bit. Sorry for the delay!

Of course there is no hurry, right? With the, uh, siege, I mean.

I mean, sieges were, historically, long-time affairs, were they not? This Zilfay sounds like a reasonable person, but I'm still going to root for our initial set of heroes in this conflict.

I dunno, it's a bit tricky.
On the one hand, Shogun. Ki is also pretty awful sometimes. But also what is going to happen to the civilian population who had nothing to do with this nonsense?
On the other hand... Sir Muir and Chen Chen.

Shogun showing up. Maybe Zilfray will shoot him?
Junlocks must be getting a lot out of that life magic, and the Zadakine just don't seem to care about friendly fire. That's... kind of not a shock, really.
That said, this section: "As he fell part into two bloody pieces," should this be "fell apart into two bloody pieces"? It doesn't seem right to me as is.

When you have a living battering ram, you might as well use it.

I'm generally more in favour of slicing Zadakine or Golta than Junlocks, but damn, Shogun's entrance is cool. Will he be able to slice that living battering ram in half as well? He'd better!

Claiming to fight against walls sounds like a way to claim victory no matter how the battle goes. "The Nymus won!" "Ah, but the walls fell, so it still counts." Do Golta leave their outcasts in the wilderness, and if they survive, they're induced into the rangers? Since their society doesn't seem like it affords othet opportunities to earn elite scouting skills for people they dislike. Isn't what? I'm not one to tell others how to use not my own language, but it looks like a mistake. But above all: Happy Easter!

Happy Easter.
And it's typically Ivos, isn't it, that they start murdering each other, eh?

Zilfay commonly phrases statements and instructions as questions.
In particular, she often adds "Isn't it?" To the end of things that aren't really questions.
This is verbal tic she does, even if it makes her phrases grammatically odd.
She sounds Welsh, and that is kind of a Welsh way of talking.

I always imagine Zilfay talking very enthusiastically.
"Let's go blow something up, isn't it?!"
