I just checked and word of God says the Chang are not like Ivos.
And by word of God I mean I just said it. Just now.
I am your God.
WORSHIP ME!!!
Ahem...the point is the Chang do not fear becoming too civilised. They consider themselves the pinnacle of civilisation.

I meant that the idea of becoming too "civilized" was a real fear historically speaking. And that Manchus would be more like the Dol-Kim... though semi-Nomadic.

Okay yeah, the Dol-Kim view getting too civilised as a weakness. Others in the White Kingdom would argue that getting overly civilised is not something the Dol-Kim need to worry about.

I would like to clarify something.
I really don't like Gyo all that much. Maybe the current RP book has me biased, but I don't find much of their culture appealing.
And I freaking hate the Chang, since I freaking hate lemurs. I've hated them since few years back the first Madagascar movie became memetic in Poland and you couldn't spend a week without coming across one of these furbags. Primates are ugly anyway, what's the point of making furries of them?
But I do love the Wu-Yao. I feel like I have not been vocal enough about that. They're goats and they do not give a fuck. What's not to like? And that goat assassin from the RP was cool, even if I didn't get most of what she was doing; she certainly was not giving a fuck, though.
I'm gonna play a Wu-Yao in the RP one of these days. I'll give them a penchant for rapping and finding tall objects to stand on, so they could look down on others. And I have a ton of great goat face avatars. I could change every week.

Not sure who I like best from the White Kingdom.

I suppose I would maybe play a very very organization obsessed Chang. That would be fun. Not she he's be a nice person though.

Check out the map. They're part of the White Kingdom, somewhat, but they're also more libertarian minded. They agree to be part of the Kingdom, they don't bend the knee, as it were.
Very individualist. Air and Dark for magic.

I didn't really think of lemurs are primates in my mind. They have those snouty faces so they don't look monkey like to me.
Though I can understand how Madagascar could ruin them for you. Argh, that lion with the gorilla arms freaks me out! And Chris Rock being Chris Rock....There's only so much Chris Rock I like in a movie and it aint a lot.
And a Borat voiced Lemur....yeah I can see why that would put you off.

So I don't know if the king lemur's voice was aggravating in the original. In the Polish version, hell it was. And the dubbed version of "I like to move it" became a smash hit, to my annoyance.

There is an entire series about that guy now. The Lemur king, I mean.

Wait, really? After they were milking the penguins in several spinoffs? Clearly, Madagascar had the wrong protagonists from the get-go.

The Penguins are okay, everything else in that show is terrible. The second move barely even has a plot. In that one the Lemur King comes along because he just sort of decides he wants to, even though he has literally no motivation to do so and it means he has to go to Africa with them. Its so lame I can't even make fun of it in a hate review because there is nothing interesting I can say about it.
