Steels and Diego go at each other with knives. Steel has the advantage of arm guards to help protect himself, but Diego is a physically strong, battle hardened fighter.
Steel gains the upperby grabbing some luggage from the over head compartment and pulling it down to block Diego's knife and then leaps on him, tackling him to the ground and stabbing him repeatedly in the chest.
Flare rushes into the next carriage, where Whisper is waiting.
In there are also the two injured Chimera goons that Sidewinder shot and Agent Kid.
Agent Kid goes for his pistol but Flare glares at his hand and it suddenly jerks to the side, causing him to miss.
Flare than fires an arrow into Kid's shoulder, causing him to drop his weapon and pinning him to the side of the train.
Whisper then attacks, throwing more of her deadly knives., which Flare is fortunately able to evade.
The two of them engage in a vicious hand to hand battle. Flare is bigger and stronger but Whisper has great agility, fighting in a
capoeira style, putting her hands on the ground to do spinning kicks and flipping over. Since she has hooves for feet, these attacks are very dangerous! The two of them leap off the chairs and tables to try to get a height advantage.
After trading some blows, Flare manages to tackle Whisper to the ground and attempts to bite her face off, but Whisper stabs her in the thigh with a throwing knife, causing a painful but not life threatening injury that force Flare to release Whisper.
As they fight, Flare snarls that whisper is a traitor to their faith, Whisper sneering that she has found a better destiny on the winning side.
Flare then dives and grabs her bow up and takes aim, while whisper grabs a gun.
The two of them have a face, weapons ready in the train isle.
Flare says that Whisper never really believed.
Whisper says Flare can think what she wants, either way Acuity is still dead.
At this point a wounded Chimera thug grab a gun and attempts to shoot Flare but she is quicker and hits him with an arrow.
Whisper takes the opportunity to grab Agent Kids briefcase and flee.
The other Chimera goon is about to rush Flare but Hazard, entering the carriage with Steel, pulls the knife out of the back of her armour and throws it, hitting the man in the body and causing him to collapse to the ground.
They chase Whisper, but are too late, as she has grabed onto the landing skids of the helicopter to be carried to safety!
However, Sidewinder, on top of the train, sees this and leaps onto the landing skid as well, knocking Whisper and causing her to drop the case, which breaks open as it hits the ground. A mass of pages blow out onto the muddy fields, ruining them.
Whisper, enraged, retaliates by holding onto the landing skid and kicking Sidewinder with her hoofed feet.
He loses his grip and falls from the copter...but is caught just in time by Steel leaning out from the train, who pulls him in to safety.
Whisper escapes with the helicopter, but Chimera's plans have been foiled, the formula is destroyed!
The group get back into the van and get out of there, returning to judgement.
Steel grabs some funions from the snack trolley before he goes.
Back at CLAW's hide out, Gloom, Bulletproof and Strife are now present.
Bulletproof makes a snarling sound but Steel says jokingly that they are all on the same side now and throws him the funions, which seems to placate the huge armadillo.
Flare makes it clear this was a one time thing, and not some kind of permanent alliance.
Judgement says their work is not done yet. Chimera are on the ropes, with their allies defeated and their plans undone.
Now is the time to strike and destroy them, and more specifically destroy King.
Gloom says he agrees with Flare, they shouldn't be working together. He says "Has everyone forgotten that these are the bad guys? Is it just me? Weren't we fighting them last time?"
Strife gives Sidewinder a nod of acknowledgement, as Sidewinder was the only one that was kind to him when he was captured.
Judgement says they need to use every source of information they can to find King's location. If they waste time he will flee the country, and they cant be sure there aren't any more copies of the super wag formula that he might take with him.
Sidewinder says he has sources that might be able to help, and Trace expresses confidence that he can do this.
Trace asks Sidewinder if he can give her a lift and he says they can take "the sled" causing Trace to ask what that is.
A little awkwardly he says it is his car.
Trace "You call your car The Sled?"
Sidewinder (embarassed) "um...yeah...The Red Sled."
Trace "The Red Sled?" *pause* "Cool."
Trace has him drive out through London and them has him stop on what seems like a fairly ordinary street.
She says there is something she wants to show him.
She points eagerly as a car pulls up and Paradox and Hazard arrive and go into a building.
They emerge with Hazard carrying a young adaptive chipmunk in a baby harness on her chest and Paradox leading an adaptive sheep girl by the hand.
They have seemingly left children with an nanny, who is an adaptive porcupine called Auntie Puzzles.
Trace says that Hazard and Paradox "live together. Its a bit weird but they seem to make it work."
She says that CLAW weren't giving away all the children they made.
She says that she needed Sidewinder to see this, so he could understand that there is more to what CLAW are doing than he realises.
Sidewinder is left a little speechless by what he has seen.
Trace gives him a kiss and gets out of the Sled. She looks back and says "It really is a cool car."
Sidewinder heads to MI:6 hoping he can dig up some information, though he is not feeling confident as so far his efforts to get information are constantly blocked. He could find Agent Kid because that was looking for information on the CIA's whereabouts rather than Chimeras.
However, as he looks through the files, Director Hall approaches him.
Hall is friendly and jovial as usual and says he has been cooped up in the office too long and needs some fresh air, and it looks like Sidewinder could use a break as well.
He goes outside with Sidewinder and sits on a bench under a tree.
He then becomes very serious, saying that MI:6 is too compromised so he can only speak out here. If he tried to organise actions against Chimera, it would either be undermined or Chimera would be forewarned.
Sidewinder is the only he can trust to stop them now.
He says that Sidewinder needs to call on every ally and resource he has and "liquidate King at all costs".
He makes clear that the safety of the nation is at stake if King is allowed to escape.
He gives Sidewinder a file with detailed information on King's large property on the Thames where he is based.
Hall says he will make sure that the police and security forces are diverted so Sidewinder will have as much time as possible to do what is necessary, but cannot offer more help than that without risking undermining Sidewinders mission.
Sidewinder takes the file and says "For Queen and Country."
Hall says "As always."
Hall then goes back to his cheerful demeanor and says he better get back inside and get back to work.
(Sidewinder's loyalties get less clear all the time. What is he really fighting for? Or who?
The stage is set for an all out battle to take down Chimera, but our heroes and their new allies will be headed into the lions den...LITERALLY! Can King be stopped before he escapes? Can they over come his private army of loyal soldiers and his elite adaptive enforcers AND his FUCKING PET LIONS?!? Is even an alliance of CLAW and the good guys enough?
I certainly don't know....no seriously, I don't know yet!
We haven't played the last bit! This Saturday I am hoping to play out the final part of chapter 2.
All I can promise is that there will be blood...)
