Hazard or Paradox are probably going to die.
I mean. You just showed that they've got a kid.
That's asking to die in the 80s. And virtually every other action movie ever.

King is in his very large, long office, head down at his desk, his mane messed up, taking bites of a big piece of steak. His inner circle are sat in chairs on either side of the desk, and large numbers of his troops are filling the rest of the room, awaiting his instructions. A latino man in a suit with a moustache comes forward and puts a sealed plastic bag filled with mud covered, ruined papers. He explains that this is all that could be recovered of the super wag formula, but they have some partial notes that they might be able to reconstruct it from if they can get them to Brazil. King says that this minion was the one that sent the CIA agent on the train. Why not a helicopter? Or armoured convoy? Why FUCKING BRITISH RAIL? Now Chance and Diego are dead, and he liked those two! The minion says there were a dozen guards on that train and no one should have known about it. There must be a leak in the intelligence services. King says "That or a leak within Chimera?
King starts complaining that they still haven't managed to kill Flare and every time they shoot her allies she comes back with more dangerous ones. They shot everyone she new in Brazil (he mentions personally shooting her pet cat), then she teamed up with Insight. So they shot Insight and she teams up with CLAW! He says she shouldn't be hard to find since she is a six foot polar bear with a coloured in face. As he says this he picks up a marker pen and starts drawing on the minion who arranged the train. "See how distinctive you are? See how you stand out?" He says to his troops, while pacing and biting at the steak in his hand "What is so complicated? Find the one with the coloured face, and then shoot them." points to the minion he drew on "Look, there's one now!" and then shoots him with a revolver. "I made all of your rich! Thanks to me you drink champagne, you fuck beautiful bitches, you drive fancy cars, you eat steaks. You eat RED MEAT! I gave you everything and I can take it all away just as easily. I want that polar bear dead, and I want her liver on a plate so I can fucking eat it!" Muerte unzips his mouth and says "Polar bear livers are poisonous." Komodo says "Really? Is that true?" Muerte say "Si, too much vitamin A." King looks dejected and sits back down at his desk. Whisper rubs his shoulders and asks what he wants them to do, King says "Get my yacht ready"
Back at the CLAW hideout, Sidewinder shows up with the information on King's location. He has a large, modern mansion on the Thames, with an area to dock a yacht and a huge garage/loading area. Trace, who is filing Bulletproofs claws when he arrives says "told you so" obviously, having predicted Sidewinder's success. The group gathers around a table to discuss their plans. Paraodox provides first aid to everyone who has injuries from the previous mission. Hazard has her arm in a sling. Judgement says they need to launch an all out attack. Chimera are uniquely vulnerable, as their various allies (the HDL, Munders supermarkets, the CIA, Criminal gangs) have been stripped away one by one and their plans have been thrown into chaos. Now is the time to finish this once and for all. Judgement says it would be wrong to send his followers into such a terrible battle, forced to kill other adaptives, if he is not willing to go as well. He places a big belt fed machine gun on the table and explains that he will lead this mission personally. Flare agrees with idea that now is the time to strike, as destroying King will throw Chimera into chaos without his leadership, but she is disturbed at the sight of Judgement and the kind of firepower he intends to deploy. She protests that they are going to cause rampant uncontrolled carnage and possibly kill innocents. Judgement tells her everyone in this compound is working for Chimera directly and is a legitimate target. Paradox seems sympathetic to what Flare says, nervously suggesting that they should be careful about causing too much destruction. Flare begins to relate a story about how she once knew a young girl that was killed by stray gunfire in Brazil, but Trace interrupts her, calling what she is saying bullshit and saying she is in no position to judge CLAW. She kills the people she considers enemies, but starts moralising when CLAW do the same? Does she think they haven't thought about the implciations or are just doign it for fun? (Gloom chips in to say she DOES just do this stuff because he thinks its fun.) The two of them argue angrily until Judgement steps in and stops Trace telling her that Flare has been through a great deal and they cannot understand her experiences. Judgement says this is the most dangerous mission they have attempted so far, as it will be head on attack against Chimera's strongest point, and he advises everyone to put their affairs in order with that in mind. Flare says she will be in prayer at the temple. Judgement offers for her to join him in meditation, but she refuses, clearly viewing him with disgust. He says that it is bad enough that they are fighting other adaptives, especially Whisper, who was once a priestess of Unity. He says he wishes he and Flare could have peace between them before they go into battle. "Can we not have Unity between us?" This seems to give Flare pause, but she still declines. Judgement says this causes him great sadness, but does not pus hthe point further. Hazard say that her and Flare are still friends, right? And offers a fist bump. Flare does not reciprocate, leaving Hazard looking sad. Strife welds armour plates to their truck truck and trailer, to prepare for the big attack.
Trace straps Bulletproof into some new heavy body armour and a mask to protect his front. It incorporates a gas mask and Strife gives everyone else a gas mask, since he plans to use a grenade launcher to spread tear gas to cover their attack.
The plan Judgement lays out (based on careful study of the maps and information Sidewinder has provided) is to storm the buildings large garage and loading area with their truck and trailer. Once inside, Strife, Bulletproof, Gloom and himself will hold that area, drawing Chimera's forces there.
Meanwhile, Paradox, Steel and Sidewinder will sweep the building, looking for King and eliminating Chimera members along the way.
Flare and Trace will head to the roof, where there isa helicopter landing pad, to block off any possible escape.
Flare heads to the temple to meditate. Silver is there, who rants and raves to Flare about how no one is listening to her and Insight CLEARLY left her in charge, though Flare completely ignores her.
Sidewinder offers to show Steel one of his favourite movies "Four Hooves of Fury", clearly considering it unacceptable to not see such a masterpiece before going to face their deaths. Steel doesn't seem keen, having a very dim view of Sidewinders taste in films! Looking at the cover Trace says "Looks cheesy" she then looks at Sidewinder and smiles and says "But cheesy can be good."
Steel goes to the temple as well, going unseen into the basement to recover his wooden fighting sticks, his weapon of choice. He pauses to look at the antlers hung over the mantle piece, looks around and then departs. He then goes to Tranquillity, whose clinics is as busy as ever. She has fallen asleep in a chair in the corridor, awakening as Steel approaches her. He jokes "Busy?" and she looks him over confused, asking if he is injured again. He says no, and looks to se Insights room, but her bed is empty. Tranquility says Insight has checked out and is going to be fine, but Tranquillity is confides that she is afraid, as things seem to be escalating. The drug epidemic keeps getting worse and Insight being attacked makes her feel that things are out of control. Steel says he thinks things are going to get better soon. Tranquillity tells him to be careful, because she is afraid of what is going to happen next. Steel gives her a letter to give to Insight. As he leaves he puts a package on the front desk inbox.
Sidewinder and Trace watch the movie together, Trace enjoying doing so with Sidewinder.
As the team gathers again, Paradox says monitoring security services suggests the police have all been diverted to training exercises, raids outside the city and other pointless operations. Gloom says "we aren't that lucky, this is a trap." Trace says "We're not going to get another chance." Gloom says "He might already have left the country." Sidewinder says he doesn't think King would flee so easily. Trace says insists this is their only option. Gloom "and if it is a trap?" Trace "Then we might Chimera bleed before we go down." Gloom seems to consider this, his expression hard to judge through his big goggles, but then his mouth turns into a huge grin "yeah, that's what I want to hear! Let's do this! YEAH!" From then on he seems very enthusiastic about the mission!
Hazard gives Steel a fist bump before they leave.
Judgment asks to say a blessing before they go. "The great spirit that guides all our fates is moving now, its unseen hand is guiding us. We have a shared journey, as a people working to fore fill the great destiny for which we are created. It is upon each of us to protect and care for each other so that this destiny can be realised. That is the reason we go into battle today, to protect the great future that has been promised to us. Unity in all things." The groups repeats back "Unity in all things."
Gloom says "I hear he eats people" Strife "Who does?" Gloom "King, King eats people." Strife "Bollocks" Gloom "No its true, he's a cannibal." Paradox "Well technically its not cannibalism unless he eats another lion." Gloom "Oh great well that makes it okay. I guess we can just eat you then, huh?" Paradox "Umm...yeah okay its still bad to eat people."
Hazard hands out weapons, with Sidewinder taking an automatic pistol and this time deciding he does want the katana sword. Steel takes two automatics. As everyone gets into the truck, Hazard gives each of them a fist bump. Flare is not offered the fist bump, and Paradox receives a hug instead. Though Hazard is keen to go, as there are a lot of guns to can fire with one arm, Judgement will not take her into battle injured.
Seeing Sidewinder has a kick ass sword on his back, Steel gives a thumbs up which Sidewinder returns. Getting into the cab alongside Flare, Trace gives a nod and sets off.
As their near their target Gloom yells enthusiastically "Alright! Let's do this! We're going to shove this truck right up King's arse!"
(Holy crap, can the mission succeed? Shit is about to get real!)

What is it with everyone and katanas?

Cause they are fucking cool? Honestly its just that I had Hazard offer it as a funny response to him saying he preferred hand to hand, and so for the final battle he reconsidered her offer. It's the kind of random interesting things that only rpgs produce.

No, katanas aren't cool. They're sharpened crowbars, except way more likely to bend.
Nah, I'm kidding, its just a reaction to everyone going on about how great katanas are.

Here's the way I see it, if Sidewinder is awesome with the Katana (And i"m hoping for something in particualar even if it's not that likely!) And I imagine he is, he's gonna make some of the hype around the things real. Or he might not even unsheath the thing, who knows.

Trace guns the engine, and the truck hurtles into the loading area, smashing small vehicles and workers out of the way. Trace grabs a pump action shotgun and jumps out firing.
Workers in the garage are loading large blocks wrapped in plastic onto pallets, and are very much caught by surprise by this sudden attack.
Out of the back of the truck jumps Bulletproof, charging into the nearest Chimera goons, scattering them with his great strength. The others follow him out, with Strife firing tear gas grenades. Judgement blazes with his machine gun, mowing down enemies and clearing them off over head walk ways. Gloom immediately darts away amongst the pallets, wielding two swords. He uses this to leap out and slice Chimera goons before dashing away again. Guards with guns rush to try to drive away these attackers.
Steel, Sidewidner and Paradox dash out of the loading garage to sweep the lower level. Flare fires an arrow through a guards head before dashing after Trace to the stairwell to head up through the building.
The rest of the building is lushly decorated, with fancy statues, art, chandeliers and other nice fittings. There are lots of marble statues of lions.
As Sidewinder, Steel and Paradox move into the building, guards with assault rifles rush into the area firing. Sidewinder takes aim quickly with his pistol, firing single, accurate bullets. Each shots takes out a charging guards. When one takes cover and pops up to fire he is immediately shot dead by Sidewinders pin points accuracy. Steel, meanwhile, rushes towards cover blazing with both pistols hitting fuck all but causing a lot of them to duck! Paradox doesn't carry a gun, but uses her mental powers to confuse the guards, clouding their minds and leaving them easy prey for Sidewinder to shoot down.
On the stairwell, a group of guards come rushing down to stop the attackers. Flare launches an arrow between stair sections that explodes with a stun bomb, sending the group of guards tumbling. Flare then jumps up onto the banister and uses her extreme leg strength to leap up over the bannister of the higher set of steps the guards are on. Landing amongst them she immediately sends one flying down the stairs with a powerful kick. Flare rushes up the stairs after her, stamping on the neck of the guard that she kicked. Flares jumps onto another guard who tries to raise his gun, bashing his head on the steps and then ripping his throat out with her teeth. Her snout and chest covered in blood, she looks up to see Trace finishing off a guard with a close range shotgun blast and then stomping down on the head of one who has fallen on the stares, shattering his skull in a spray of blood and brains. She looks at Flare, gives a nod and the two continue their ascent.
Sidewinder, Steel and Paradox move up the next level of the building, but a group of four Chimera goons give chase. The one at the front is dressed in body armour, with grenades on his chest, firing a machine gun from the hips. The good guys are forced to take cover amongst the fancy furnishings to avoid getting cut down by the hail of bullets. Paradox covers her head, obviously distressed at all this, but then stands up and uses a wave of telekinetic force to hurl the gunner back, into his comrades, who all tumble back down the stairs they came up. Paradox then shouts to duck, revealing she also used her powers to pull all the pins out of his grenades. There are several large explosions on the stairwell. Sidewinder comments that her "woo" can be pretty scary, Steel adds that they are very useful. Paradox says doign that kind of thing takes a lot out of her.
As more guards rush in, the group duck down in their cover. Steel moves behidn a lion statue, climbing up onto it. He discards his pistols and draws his two fighting sticks and then leaps right into the middle of the guards. He proceeds to lay into them with hails of blows, deflecting their weapons and delivering blow after devastating blow. The whirlwind of attacks sends bloodied guards tumbling to the ground. Steel stops and strikes a combat stance, as the last of the group of guards drops to his knees and then keels over. Steel's sticks are covered in blood and one has several teeth stuck in it.
Meanwhile, Trace and Flare reach the top floor (there is a separate set of stairs from here to the roof.) They storm the area, Trace firing her shot gun and Flare launching arrows. As well as guards, they are confronted with Whisper, firing a submachine gun. Flare takes cover behind a small statue, which is then rapidly worn to an indistinct block by Whisper's bullets. When Whisper stops firing to reload Flare steps out and fires an stun bomb arrow. However, Whisper raises her hand and the arrow explodes prematurely, knocking both of them off their feet.
((Uh oh! Whisper can do the "woo" as well! Its a woo off! More to come...))

Oh hooo. Well, this is going to be interesting. Whisper's better at range I think? But Flare's better up close...Hard to call, with this particular battle...I'm feeling like advantage is somewhat Flare's, unless Whisper's better at keeping at range than I think she is.

Steel, Sidewinder and Paradox enter a large room with numerous tall pillars up to the roof, in which there are tables piled with white cocaine powder. The room looks to have been the location of a pretty crazy party. Suddenly, from behind the pillars rush wild screaming attackers, dressed in various gimp suits, leather straps and bondage gear, wielding swords, axes, ball and chains and other close combat weapons. COKED UP GIMP ATTACK! Sidewinder immediately uses his remaining ammunition to shoot down the first two, before dropping his gun and drawing his sword. He immediately slices off the arms of a gimp taking a sword swing at him, and then twirls around another one of them to slash the gimp across the back. Paradox uses her powers to cause a gimp to rush past her and bury his axe in the head of one of his allies. Steel blocks a long chain with a metal spiked ball on the end, so it swings back around and strikes its owner in the forehead. He kicks up a table sending a cloud of cocaine into the faces of several gimps. Using his sticks he delivers a beat down on any gimp coming at him. As Sidewinder cuts down another attacker (Sidewinder is really good with a sword, what are the odds?) he is confronted with the small, striking figure of Muerte, out of his gimp suits, dressed in just a black speedo. He has all black eyes and his body is bright yellow and moist with deadly poison. He clambers over a badly injured gimp. When he touches exposed skin, grim purple veins spread across the mans skin and he starts to convulse from the lethal contact poison. Muerte grabs a sword and leaps at Sidewinder, slashing at him. Meanwhile Steel is attacked by a Gimp leaping off a table with an axe. Steel crosses his sticks to block the blow and delivers a kick that hurls the gimp back so he lands on his back on the table and bounces off it onto the floor. Then Komodo steps out to fight him, also dressed in a just a black speedo. Komodo is huge and completely ripped and says that they aren't getting out of here alive. Komodo attacks him ferociously, causing Steel to evade behind a pillars. As Komodo reaches around it to slash at Steel with his claws, Steel strikes him on the hand, causing him to recoil. Sidewinder runs away from Muerte, since he is too dangerous to fight up close. Sidewinder rushes to try to get the drop on Komodo but Komodo sees him coming and smacks him with his tail and knocks him flat on his back.
In the loading area, the fighting is having the desired effect and causing the bulk of the Chimera guards to head there, threatening to over welcome the attackers there with weight of numbers. Shots hitting the plastic wrapped packages of pallets send shredded bits of paper flying.
Bulletproof hurls his body like a battering ram, smashing enemies against the walls and then hurling heavy objects at his opponents to crush them. He is fast moving and powerful, so its difficult to bring their guns to bear on him and shots bounce off his natural and additional armour. Suddenly, Granite, the giant sanpping turtle in a sundress ploughs into him, sending him flying. She comes under fire from Strife, firing a submachine gun, but the shots bounce off her armoured shell. She leaps at him, swiping his gun out of his hand and then back handing him, knocking him off his feet.
(Oh no, the bad guys seems to be getting the upper hand! And what will happen with Flare and Whisper? Wait till next time!))

*shrugs* Gimp thing just made me think of Muerte to be frank, like that was his zone. The coked-up thing...Eh well, the boss-man melees because poison skin. But most gaps don't have that, so they turn to the more availible method of drugging up for pain ignorance...Incidentally? That's a thing that slightly gives me the skeevies, the notion of drug-induced pain resistances...

Whisper gets up first and leaps at Flare, attempting to kick her with her hooves. Whisper fights with lots of leaping, spinning and flips, while Flare is more of an aggressive brawler. The two of them trade blows in a vicious melee. When the two are separated, Flare throws a small table at her opponent, but Whisper evades it. Flare also retrieves her bow and fires another stun arrow, which Whisper leaps out of the way of and then hurls her throwing knives, which Flare stops in the air with her psychic powers so they drop down harmlessly onto a large glass table that separates the two fighters.
Flare expresses her out rage that she prayed alongside Whisper and yet Whisper betrayed her. Whisper makes clear that she thinks Flare is a sentimental fool clinging to a lost cause and tells her she can say hello to Acuity IN HELL! She leaps across the table to kick flare but Flare pulls up the table blocking her, and then lets it fall back down so Whisper is laid on it. Flare then leaps up and down on to Whisper, smashing her through the glass table. Flare starts to beat down Whisper, who grabs a large shard glass and attempts to stab Flare in the neck with it. Flare blocks it with her forearm, getting it stuck in her arm and then bits Whisper in the neck, savagery tearing her throat out.
When she gets back up, covered in blood, she sees Trace finishing off the last of Chimera guards in the area with her shotgun. At this point, across the large room (the building is very open plan) a lift opens and out step Damage and Macavity. Damage grabs Macavity under his arm and flees to the exit to the roof. Trace fires a blast after them but then runs out of ammo, so she grabs an assault rifle from a dead chimera minion and the two of them give chase.
Meanwhile, Sidewinder lands on his back, his sword flying from his grasp and sticking in the wall. He leaps up to evade Muerte coming after him and spits venom at Muerte to give himself some breathing roof. Muerte leaps back out of the way so the venom splatters on the ground. Muerte runs the edge of his sword through the venom and says "poison? Are you trying to copy my style?" He then rushes after Sidewinder.
Steel is very fast and precise with his fighting sticks, landing stinging blows on Komodo who swipes at him with powerful blows but is unable to hit him. Komodo is hit in the back of the knee and falls to one knee but then back hands Steel, knocking him flying back. Komodo leaps through the air at Steel to crush him with his knee. Steel redraws his guns and fires them at Komodo wildly. Steel is a terrible shot and only manages to flip Komodo on the side with one bullet, but this throws Komodo off so his attack does not connect...though he does still land with his body on Steel, before rolling off him, leaving them both winded.
The two of them get up and continue to battle, with Steel targeting Komodo's gun shot wound, causing him great pain. Komodo is bloodied and injured, but manages to grab Steel by the collar and slam him against the wall, holding him up off the ground with one hand. He attempts to punch Steel with his other hand, but Steel fends him off with his legs and weapons, hitting him across the face. Komodo pulls back his arm and slams Steel against the wall again.
Sidewinder retreats from Muerte, but then grabs a discarded sword and pulls down a long hanging drape from the wall. He then leaps at Muerte, parrying his sword and wrapping him up in the long clothe. He manages to tie his small opponent up in it, and holds the struggling frog up off the ground. He then swings the bundle around and hurls it at Komodo, Muerte flying out of it and landing on Komodo's back, knocking him over. As Komodo gets up, he gets the grim purple veins across his body and starts to convulse from Muerte's deadly toxin. As he collapses to the ground, Muerte looks horrified. He then grabs a dropped blade and stabs himself in the neck, committing suicide.
Steel comments that Muerte was a "Stupid fish" showing he knows bugger all about biology.
A remaining Gimp rushes at them waving an axe, but he dashes past them under the influence of Paradox's powers and crashes out of a window.
Paradox commented that this wasn't what she thought they would be doing.
(our heroes have over come some enemies, but what else does Chimera have in store for them?))

Sidewinder and Steel suddenly get called on the pink plastic walkie talkies Frost made for them. "Sidewinder, don't take my van out without asking" says the calm tones of Frost.
In the loading area, Judgement and his team are pinned down by the weight of fire from Chimera troops. Suddenly Frost's van careers into the area, ramming Granite and sending her flying.
Out of the van, dressed in all covering black ninja gear jump Riptide, Ghost and Insight (carrying a staff as her weapon), along with Frost in his battle armour.
Frost powers into the Chimera guards, sending them flying with his nightstick. Riptide uses him as cover to move forward throwing stun bombs. Insight twirls her staff and causes dust on the crowd to swirl up and spread out rapidly, blinding Chimera troops and allowing her and Ghost to rush them. Ghost uses arm twists and Aikido throws to disarm and disable Chimera goons rapidly, while Insight leaps about with incredible agility, striking with her staff.
These new arrivals rapidly turn the tide against Chimera's forces.
Meanwhile, Flare and Trace rush to the roof. where they see a helicopter starting to take off, with a human pilot and Macavity onboard. As Flare and Trace are about to open fire, Damage the bull charges them both from the side, knocking them both over. Trace shouts for Flare to stop the copter, and then faces off with Damage.
Macavity pulls out a revolver with his good hand and opens fire at Trace. She darts to the side to avoid being hit and uses her psychic powers to cause him great pain in his bad leg. Macavity stumbles back from this and topples out of the helicopter as it lifts off, falling about ten feet onto the roof, where he is left laying. The surprised pilot starts to bring the copter back down, and Trace jumps in as it lands and starts beating on him and slamming him against the sides of the helicopter cockpit and then throws him unconscious body into the back of it.
Damage grabs hold of Trace around the neck, but she pulls up both her legs and kicks repeatedly into his chest. Damage is very strong and tough, but the hail of powerful blows is too much and he drops her and stumbles backwards, falling over backwards down the flight of steps to the roof.
Sidewinder is extremely worried that Frost knows he took the van, but there is no time to dwell on this. Sidewinder, Steel and Paradox burst into King's long office, where king is stuffing some papers into a suit case (the notes from which he hopes to reconstruct the super wag formula in Brazil.) He looks up and fires a large revolver, forcing them to take cover in the door way. When King's gun clicks empty he presses the button on his desk and flees to the large wall of windows at the back of the room. Steel rushes into the room after him, but stops as hatches open on either side of the room and King's pet lionesses enter the room, growling. Paradox raises her hands and uses her mental powers to repel the lions, causing them to retreat back to through the hatches. Steel expresses disappointment, clearly being eager to try to fight an actual lion!
Hurrying the to window, they see that King has leaped to a tree and from there to the ground and is fleeing to his yacht. King is either very agile, or completely insane or both as the jump he has made looks incredibly dangerous and none of the three chasing him feel they can attempt it. Sidewinder uses his radio to alert everyone that King is trying to get away.
On the roof, Trace gets into the helicopter, shooting the unconcious pilot and kicking his body out. She sits in the pilots seat. Flare "You can fly a helicopter." Trace "Sure, its just like a flying motor bike, right?" There is a pause and then Trace adds "No but seriously I can fly a helicopter."
In the loading area, Granite picks herself up, her sun dresses now torn and tattered. She sees Judgement, who has just used up all the ammunition to his machine gun and cast it aside. Meeting her gaze, he raises his hands in a relaxed fighting stance. She roars and rushes at him, slashing with her claws. Judgement moves back, evading her attacks skillfully. He then ducks down and Insight leaps over him, striking Granite in the eye with her staff. Judgement then follow up with open handed strikes to Granite's body, causing her to stumble back. Granite tries to retaliate but Insight darts around her, hitting at weak points with the staff, keeping Granite off guard. Granite manages to grab the staff, but Insight lets go of it and kicks off Granite's arm to kick her in the head. Judgement then swings both his hands to Granite's chest, stopping just an inch short of her. He then closes his hands into fists and moves them with tremendous force, causing a shock wave and hurling Granite back into a wall. Granite drops down flat on her face unconscious. Insight holds out her hand and her staff flies back to her. Ten her and Judgment both strike victorious fighting stances.
((Judgement and Insight, fighting side by side? Now the tables have really turned on Chimera! But it will all be for nothing if King can escape. Will Flare and Trace be able to stop him? Find out in the final instalment...))
