One problem with Warhammer total war is that I keep down loading mods, and then they keep updating the game so my games don't work any more and I have to start over.
Truly the most first world of all problems!
I thought Norsca mods were a safe bet though...now my vampire campaign is thwarted!

Goodness knows they need the goddamn RoR for the DLC factions. And it would be wonderful if the Wood Elves could actually get some followers (so something other than goddamn banners).
I'm actually kinda wondering how TWW2 is going to be able to measure up at launch, actually, since there is just so much stuff packed into TWW1.

Yeah initially it might seem a bit basic. I think it will compensate for that by the fact the new factions will all seem pretty strange and the campaing is structured differently to anything they've done before. My biggest concern is that the new campaign structure just wont work, as it is trying something very different to what we've seen before.

You've got to try new things sometimes. Lets hope this works, though. It could be fun.

Yeah I think it will work and they need to mix it up wiht new ways to play. Since most of hte game play is tried nad tested, that just seems lie ka place where there could be a problem, but I am optimistic.

I'm also wondering what quality of life improvements are going to be made now too. We could get anything from basically the same interface, UI, Battle Pace, etc to radically different ones.

Indeed.
Also, there are a lot of people demanding "iconic" units. So many I'm getting sick of the word "iconic". They're not going to be satisfied with anything less than all the units in the 8th ed army books and then some.

Canuovea you might not realise it, but I am actually a magic genie, so by saying what you want, it causes me to magically make it happen. Wood Elf Followers are coming! Also chaos are getting beefed up, and Empire AI is being made more bad ass as an AI so they aren't always dead by the end of the campaign. AND older characters are getting more powers to make them more bad ass and unique abilities.

Here is a guy who doesnt like warhammer total war, to give us the other point of view. I dont agree with almost every point he makes. In fact some things he complains about I thought were improvements, like simplified campaign map. Also he says some stuff that is untrue. He acts like if you dont buy chaos they aren't in the campaign, which is blatantly false.

Jesus, you're right. I mean, the forums have been demanding Wood Elf followers for ages now. As well as a rework for the old lords. If CA keeps listening like this then we may well have Ungrim the Slayer King finally moved to the Slayer Keep where he should be to begin with. Maybe we'll get another Empire Lord that doesn't bloody start in the capital.
There is always someone.
I'm not sure if all the Chaos Characters and units are in if you don't have it, but much of them are. I'm not entirely sure. But wow, this guy is... pretty bad. He's wah wah wah, changes! And then gets it wrong.

No Araby. No Tomb Kings. Though I suspect that some of them are placeholders like Schwartzafen's VC faction was and the Varg and Skaeling were for Norsca. We're at least going to get the Tomb Kings!

Based on what they did with the previous game, I would assume there will be big changes over time, adding more and more factions. The map looks really interesting. With all those smaller factions there will be a wide range of enemies to beat up on.
