Yeah the females are all related to important males, but they are some of the most interesting bad guys. Vald and Malekith would be fairly bland villains, but their relations to their girl friend and mother respectively make them have more going on than, for example, Archaon. Don't get me wrong, archaon is cool as the total evil destroyer, but its good to have some bad guys with normal relations beyond just murdering.
if they put in the witch elf leader woman (and I'm sure they will) then that would be a strong independent woman that don't need no man!

Hellebron would be interesting, especially since she has it out for Morathi.
We're likely to get Malus Darkblade too.
Gee... which Dark Elf Legendary Lords are there?
Lords with names from list:
Malekith and Morathi. Have em. Hellebron and her Witch Elf focus. Malus Darkblade with his Cold One focus. We'll probably get one of those as FLC and one as DLC.
Heroes with names that may end up promoted. Maybe:
Shadowblade the assassin, some guy with an executioner bonus named Tullaris Dreadbringer, Kouran the boss of the Black Guard, and Lokir Fellheart the sailing dude... who is the most likely hero to be elevated.
Edit: Oh yeah, I even played as the Fey Enchantress... whoops.

Dark Elf special characters never made a huge impact on me in the table top game, so beyond the witch king, him mum, witchelf woman and malus darkblade, I cant really remember any.
isn't there one with an octopus hat?

Im not knocking it. Its a bold look and he wears it with confidence. Not everyone can pull of wearing an octopus on their head.
I bet everyone already noticed this, but I haven't seen people mentioning this and it only very recently occurred to me... I think the adviser in Total War 1 is the light mage from the intro.

Confirmed that the Celestial Mage from the intro is indeed the Tzeenchy Advisor.

Is he celestial? I thought he was light becuase he had snakey looking things on collar and white robes. Snakes is a light wizard thing (for some reason.)

I thought he was basically identical to the Celestial Wizard model. Memory might be messing up.

I've had very little time... but so far it seems fascinating. I love the High Elves... but the Dark Elves are also nice. Skinks are fun.

My main problem right now is I dont know how to get the other elf nations to confederate with me! I got my relations with one group to over 200 and they still wont join up with me. I feel like Im missing something...

I tried setting up trade with other elf groups, but I feel like I should have just attacked them and taken their territoty, as having them as friends just seems to limit my expansion.

Give em some money? They're rather finicky apparently.
Expansion seems a bit more risky given the Intervention Armies and Ritual Spawns anyway.
