Age of Ultron was shit...but the title was shit too. He didn't have an "Age". The film felt like it was set over about a week. Ultron didn't take over the world, or become all powerful or reshape society. He just did some dumb shit, beat up Gollom and fly a city in the air or some shit. And I think some other shit happened no one can remember.
Ultron is an evil super computer....our modern world is based on computers and technology! Ultron could have taken control of the internet, fed fake stories to turn people against the avengers, make them think Stark Industries are evil. he could have manipulated society to subtly control people and get them (unwittingly) turn more power over to him.
Instead he just made some shit robots that fell to bits. What a load of bollocks.

I dunno if I mentioned this, but a big inspiration for the Krieg-Tier is the Disney ww2 propaganda film "education for death", where the boy in Nazi Germany is crafted into a hateful, unquestioning minion of the regime, who will ultimately be marched to his death.
I also wanted to show some of the dysfunction of the Nazi regime. They deliberately had different departments with similar, over lapping jobs who were supposed to compete to out do each other. Their ideas of life being a constant struggle made them think this would mean the best and strongest would win, but obviously in real life was just encouraging in efficiency and internal politics.
So I had the Nazi commanders be fixated on over throwing each other more than anything else, as their regime was eating itself.
When ever people have fantasy nazi regimes they always make them totally evil and awful, but also super efficient and effective. They have robots, advnaced tech and everything is run super well. Its like people think nazism is bad, but it works really well and is some kind of fast track to success. So this was me kind of stating my refutation of that idea.
So my cartoonish dog nazis were intended as a commentary on Nazism (how unexpected!)

I think that happened in real life, didn't it? (Regarding internal politics making things less efficient.)

Yeah that was the actual way the nazis worked. They didn't get the point of trying to kill each other, but that is taking their attitude to government to its logical conclusion. It was basically relying on the strong will of the leader and shared purpsoe/common enemy to keep things together and stop the various factions trying to destroy each other.

Thanks. That does seem like a logical outcome if the so-called 1000 Year Reich had survived for any length of time.

They did get pretty close to killing each other.
In fact, if you go by the Night of the Long Knives, they did get to killing each other. You just know that it would have gotten worse if they didn't have an immediate threat. You had various factions in the party and Hitler was getting constantly fucking high.
So I'm quite pleased to see the factionalism popping up.

Okay...time to get things back on the road.
I've got distracted with life and other projects and Weird Britannia kind of fell by the way side. In part this was because losing all the art demoralised me a bit. I did some cool pictures!
But now I'm going to get things back on track...

Losing all the art! That's awful.
I remember one of my computers just bricked up once. I lost so much writing...
Then again, it was bad anyway. But your art is good, so that's worse.

Okay so I redrew some of the art from the last chapter that was lost and never saved online...so here we go! Project Martial and Field Martial. Sea Martial, Interior Martial and a Gestapo Agent. A whole bunch of whacky nazis.

It's weird that most of those characters are already dead or horribly mutilated by the time I made art of them.

I think the 90s were a great decade, but it looks like these guys don't agree. Frost, Riptide, Ronin and Hazard in the 90s.

They've embraced the edginess that came with the decade at least.
